Baez numbers there don’t really tell the whole story. The last of the 3 outings you referenced, he threw .1 IP giving up 5 hits and 5 earned runs…that was on 7/1 and he hasn’t appeared in a game since.

GBI is just for fun — the caveat of SSS always applies.

I prefer GBI when it approximates life & death.

Hagerstown needed a Great, Good, Bad, & interesting.

Jeff Mandel started for Syracuse last night. Went 4 2/3 without giving up a hit. (Manny Mayorson made two amazing catches at 2nd)

Include Manager Tripp Keister of Nationals as BAD, VERY BAD!! I was in Kissimmee to get photos taken and signed by No. 1 pick Carlos Correa of the Astros. I had to stay and watch the “glorified” high baseball game known as the GCL. In the Nationals case the GCL stands for “Glorified Collegiate League”. With a college coach!!
All the “ra-ra”, noise and the chatter reminded me of the days of travel baseball, high school baseball and oh yeah college baseball!! He is horrible, I can see why the Nats, “Glorified Collegiate” team had lost 11 of 13 games. WOW! WOW and WOW!

With Arnesen and Mandel pitching so well do you think either of them has a shot at being moved into the rotation?
