Syracuse 11 Louisville 1
• Lannan (W, 5-5) 9IP, 4H, R, ER, BB, 6K, HR; 1-3, 2R, BB
• Paul 4-5, R, RBI
• Brown 3-4, 4R, HR, BB, RBI
• Komatsu 3-5, 2R, HR, 4RBI

John Lannan went the distance while Tyler Moore, Corey Brown and Erik Komatsu each homered as Syracuse throttled Louisville, 11-1. Just a fourth-inning solo shot kept the southpaw from a shutout, as he allowed just four hits and a walk otherwise and contributed to his own cause with a single and a walk. Xavier Paul led the hit column with a 4-for-5 night, Brown scored four times, and Komatsu drove in four to pace the 15-hit attack.

Harrisburg 9 Binghamton 6
• Demny (ND) 6IP, 6H, 4R, 4ER, BB, 6K, HR
• McCoy (BS, 1; W, 3-1) ⅔ IP, 3H, R, ER, 0BB, K
• Valdez 3-4, 2R, 2HR, 3RBI, OF assist at HP
• Mayorson 2-4, R, 2RBI

Harrisburg rallied from deficits of 3-0 and 6-5, scoring the last four runs of the game to win this one, 9-6. Jesus Valdez homered twice to lead the offense, which made the most out of its chances with nine runs on 10 hits. Starter Paul Demny got the no-decision when the B-Mets rallied for two against the Sens ‘pen, with Pat McCoy giving up three hits after Cameron Selik left the game with an apparent elbow injury (he retired the first batter and left the game with a 3-2 count on the second). McCoy got the blown-save-win while Marcos Frias and Hector Nelo tossed scoreless frames in the 8th and 9th to put the game on ice. The Sports ‘Burger is reporting that the Selik injury was to his lat, not his elbow.

Frederick 8 Potomac 5 — GAME ONE
• Karns (L, 0-1) 1⅔ IP, 3H, 7R, 4ER, 3BB, 3K, HBP
• Applebee 3⅓ IP, 3H, R, ER, BB, 4K, HR, 2-2 IR-S
• Oduber 2-2, BB, 2RBI
• Kelso 1-2, 2BB, RBI

Nathan Karns struggled with his control in his High-A debut, walking three and hitting a batter over an inning and 2/3rds as Potomac couldn’t dig themsleves out of an early 7-0 hole and fell to Frederick, 8-5. Randolph Oduber led the seven-hit attack with a 2-for-2 and 2RBI game.

Potomac 3 Frederick 1 — GAME TWO
• Holder (W, 3-1) 6IP, 5H, R, ER, 2BB, 6K
• Wort (SV, 3) 1IP, H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Walters 1-3, RBI
• Ramirez 1-2, RBI
• Kelso 1-2, 2R, SB

Trevor Holder essentially matched his last outing, going six innings and giving up just a single run on five hits as the P-Nats took the nightcap, 3-1. Like the first game, Potomac struggled in the clutch, going 1-for-11 with RISP — a number warped, however, by five walks and four stolen bases. Rob Wort closed out the game by striking out the side for his third save.

Hagerstown 7 Kannapolis 6 (11 inn.)
• Purke 4⅔ IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 3BB, 8K
• Meza 3⅓ IP, H, 0R, BB, 3K
• Leonida 2-3, R, 2B, BB, 2RBI
• Skole 2-4, 2R, 2BB
• Martinson 2-6, R, SB

The Intimidators rallied for four in the 9th to send this to extras, but the Suns batters bailed out the ‘pen for a 7-6 win in 11 innings. Starter Matt Purke was slightly better than his previous outing, walking three and allowing two runs on five hits to go with eight strikeouts. Cole Leonida came off the bench for another apparent injury (Adrian Nieto) and went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, and 2RBI to lead the Hagerstown offense.

DSL Nationals 3 DSL Yankees1 2 (11 inn.)
• J. Rodriguez 5IP, H, 0R, 4BB, 2K
• Moscat 2⅓ IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• K. Rodriguez (W, 1-0) 2IP, H, 0R, BB, 0K
• Aguero 1-3, 2R, 3B, 2BB, SB
• De Los Santos 1-2, 2RBI

“Orange” Marmolejos-Diaz’s RBI triple in the 11th was the difference as the DSL Nationals edged the DSL Yankees1 squad, 3-2. Kelvin Rodriguez got the win in relief with two scoreless innings, allowing just a hit and a walk. Younaifred Aguero scored twice and walked twice to lead the D-Nats offense.
