John Lannan evened his record at 6-6 with a run (albeit on a home run) on six hits over six innings, with two walks and three strikeouts. The Chiefs had just six hits, but drew six walks — three by Chris Marrero. Henry Rodriguez was in major-league form, issuing two four-pitch walks while earning the save. Gwinnett comes to town for four as Syracuse wraps up a three-week stretch in New York before an eight-game swing through NC and VA next week.

The bats were DOA and the gloves were MIA as Harrisburg fell 6-1 in Portland. The Senators collected just seven hits, stranding eight runners, while committing a season-high (low?) four errors as the Sea Dogs put up three in the 3rd and two in the 4th to put this away. Starter Rob Gilliam gave up all six runs on nine hits and two walks while setting down just two on strikes. Jimmy Van Ostrand was the sole batter to get multiple hits, singling twice in four at-bats. Derek Norris was called up yesterday, and promptly squashed a rally in the ninth throwing a runner out at second.
Tom Milone shut down the Dodgers yesterday with a 3-hit complete game. “He’s not going to be successful at the higher levels”.
Not badmouthing the trade, but I sure miss those guys.

why are we still in the Smiley Gonzalez business? he can’t be considered a prospect any more, do we really need filler in SS-A ball?

Luke, Do you think that Adam Carr could get back to the same level he was at before injury?

Yes. I worry more about Kimball, who was always a max-effort, let-it-rip pitcher that I have my doubts will be able to adjust to dialing it back long enough for his body to fully heal.

Well, we should be hearing about Kimball tonight, hopefully he will end up in Potomac soon. Also did Carr look 100%, or that he still has a decent amount of work to do? Thanks!
