2012 MLB Draft Coverage Tonight
As many of you know, I’m not “all in” for the MLB First-Year Player Draft, which may be a bit unusual for prospects guy. But even before I were to tell you that I graduated from the University of Oregon, you already knew I was an odd duck.
As I’ve written before, it just doesn’t interest me to speculate on who “we” might get so much as I like to follow who “we’ve” got. As a buddy of mine put it, it’s hard for MLB to manufacture the excitement of the NFL or NBA drafts because you’re pretty much going on the opinions of perhaps a dozen people.
However, this year is a little different.
Sean Hogan, author of the three-part draft series that ran the past three Tuesdays, will be live-blogging the event for us, so I hope you’ll check in tonight to see what he has to say. I’ll be keeping an eye on the minors, as usual, and resting up for a busy weekend in Potomac.
Sean Hogan, God bless him, because I’m in the “tell me who we got” camp and he saves me tons of time figuring any of that out.
