A pair of three-run rallies and eight strong innings from John Lannan cinched an 8-2 Syracuse win over Rochester. Lannan scattered eight hits over eight innings and walked just two while evening his record at 3-3. Xavier Paul was responsible for four of the eight runs, including a three-run blast in the bottom of the first, leading the 13-hit attack with a 3-for-5 night.

Though he labored at the finish with a 32-pitch 6th, Danny Rosenbaum continues to steamroll the Eastern League, tossing six scoreless innings in an 8-1 Harrisburg win over Akron. The Ohio native now sports a 5-0 record, a 0.76 ERA, and a 2.39 FIP. Tim Pahuta, Sandy Leon, and Chris Rahl combined for 8 of the 13 Sens hits and scored six of the eight runs.

After rallying from a 3-0 deficit and being no-hit for five innings, the Hagerstown Suns fell 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th. Delino DeShields Jr. singled, took second on a passed ball, stole third and scampered home for the gamewinner on a sac fly for the gamewinner. Alex Meyer started and gave up three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five.
