Notes: Louisville jumped to a 4-0 lead early, thanks to a grand slam by Devin Mesaraco in the bottom of the 2nd. Syracuse responded with two in the top of the 3rd to fight back, but Louisville crushed any hope of winning in the 6th with two more runs to win this one 6-2. Starter Andrew Kown took the loss and went six innings giving up six hits, six runs, one walk and got six strikeouts.

Notes: Harrisburg scored one run in the bottom of the 1st, while Erie answered with one run in the 3rd to tie things back up. Harrisburg reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the 3rd with two runs making it 3-1. In the 5th Erie scored three to take the lead and the game as they kept the Sens scoreless for the remainder, winning 5-3. Rehabbing Garrett Mock went five innings, giving up six hits, four runs and two walks in the loss.
Potomac Nationals — PPD
Notes: The rain came just before first pitch last night, setting up a doubleheader in Woodbridge on the final weekend. Wilmington fought back from a 4-3 deficit to win 6-5 against Frederick, cutting the P-Nats lead to 1½ games (two in the loss column).
Hagerstown Suns L, 4-3 @ Delmarva (Game 1)

Notes: Starter Paul Demny came within one batter of getting the complete-game win before surrendering a two-out, two-run double to tie the game at 3-3 in the 7th. After a pitching change, a wild pitch advanced the runner to third and an error sent him in, completing Delmarva’s comeback win for a walkoff 4-3 win over Hagerstown. Demny would take the loss with a line of 6⅔ innings pitched, four runs (none earned; the Suns committed four errors on the night) on six hits, one walk and three strikeouts. Eury Perez led the Suns offense with two hits, two RBI and four stolen bases.

Notes: Delmarva kept the scoring going in the nightcap with two runs in the 1st. But Hagerstown wasn’t going to let this one get away as they scored two of their own in the 3rd. With the game tied going into the top of the 7th, Hagerstown finished their comeback with a four-run rally to pull away and win this one 6-2. Starter Graham Hicks went only one inning before being pulled as he gave up two hits, two runs and one walk. Eury Perez kept up his hot hitting with a 2-for-3 effort, including a double and an RBI
Vermont Lake Monsters W, 10-9 vs Lowell (11 inn.)

Notes: Vermont had a great start as they scored seven runs in the bottom of the 1st. Like an annoying fly, Lowell started to inch their way back as they scored four in the 3rd and then took the lead in the 5th with another four runs. They also added one more run in the 6th to give them a 9-7 lead. Vermont started their comeback with one run in the 7th and in the 8th they tied things up with another run. The 9th decided nothing so that took us into extras, where in the bottom of the 11th Vermont scored the winning run to win this one 10-9. Starter Matt Swynenberg went 4⅔ innings giving up seven hits, seven runs and one walk to go along with four strikeouts.
GCL Nationals — OFF DAY
Notes: Less than 10 games remain in the GCL season, but long-awaited deadline signs Sammy Solis, Robbie Ray and A.J. Cole are expected to be activated soon, perhap even for tomorrow’s doubleheader against the GCL Cards.
DSL Nationals L, 2-1 vs. DSL Phillies

Hitting Star #1: Bienvenido Valdez 2-4, 2B
Hitting Star #2: “Fred” Ortega 2-4, SB
Notes: Unlike the parent club, the DSL Nationals got strong pitching and played solid defense. Like the parent club, the hitting and the bullpen were both lacking as the DSL Phillies got single runs in the 8th and 9th innings to win 2-1. Starting pitcher Adalberto Mieses threw six scoreless inninings, allowing five hits and two walks while setting down three on strikes. Bienvenido Valdez and “Fred” Ortega both went 2-for-4 without a run scored or driven in as the D-Nats were held to just one run on seven hits and left six runners on base.
