Notes: Columbus started the game with 1 run in the 2nd and added 2 more in the top of the 5th to make it 3-0. Syracuse fought back with 1 in the 5th and another in the 7th to make it 3-2. In the 8th they tied the game back up at 3-3 and with no runs in the 9th inning, meant extras for these two. Seth Bynum ended this contest with a solo HR in the bottom of 13th, giving the Chiefs a 4-3 win. Starter Shairon Martis went the first seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks to go with five strikeouts. Athualpa Severino, Adam Carr, and Josh Wilkie each tossed two scoreless innings, combining for three walks and seven strikeouts, with Wilkie getting the win as the last man on the mound.
Harrisburg Senators — PPD
Notes: Rain put the kibosh on the series finale between the Binghamton Mets. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, September 3rd.
Potomac Nationals — PPD
Notes: Rain also fell in Woodbridge, cancelling the series finale between Lynchburg and Potomac. This was the final regular-season game between these two teams and will likely not be made up unless it affects the second-half playoff race.

Notes: Hagerstown began this one with one run in the bottom of the 1st, Greensboro answered back with two runs to take the lead 2-1 in the top of the 2nd. The Suns however tied things up at 2-2 in the bottom of the inning. But Hagerstown wasn’t done there as they scored two more in the 4th, another two in the 5th, and one more run in the 8th keeping Greensboro scoreless for the rest of the game. Hagerstown got the win 7-2 . Starter Evan Bronson went five innings, giving up three hits, two runs and two strikeouts to earn the win.

Notes: Hudson Valley had control of this one for most of the game. They began the scoring in bottom of the 3rd with three runs and added four more in the 5th and another run in the 6th keeping Vermont scoreless through six innings. Finally in the 9th Vermont broke the ice as they managed to score two but unfortunately this game was too far out of their reach as they lost 8-2. Starter Colin Bates went 4⅔ innings, giving up seven hits, seven runs to go with 5 strikeouts with the loss.
GCL Nationals W, 14-7 vs. GCL Astros

Notes: A four-run fifth inning broke open a 6-4 lead as the GCL Nationals went on to double up the GCL Astros, 14-7. Starting Pitcher Matthew Grace put together his longest pro outing, going four innings and allowing two unearned runs on three hits and a walk. Randolph Oduber led the 16-hit attack with a single, two doubles, and a home run while driving in three. Nick Serino got the win in relief, striking out two and allowing no hits and no walks over 1⅓ innings.
DSL Nationals L, 7-4 vs. DSL Orioles2

Notes: It was basically over after the first inning, as the DSL Orioles2 darkened seven diamonds in the scorebook for a 7-0 lead and cruised to a 7-4 win over the DSL Nationals. Starter Antonio Guzman pitched four more innings after the first, but his final line was still u-g-l-y: five innings, six hits, seven runs (all earned) two walks, eight strikeouts. Amazingly, neither team was charged with an error. Aladin Reyes (4-for-4) and Wilmer Difo (3-for-4) combined for seven of the Nationals 15 hits, which was eight more than than the Orioles2 squad got. The loss, combined with a DSL Giants win, eliminated the D-Nats from the playoffs.
