Notes: Indianapolis started the scoring in the bottom of the 3rd and retained the lead until the the 6th where they extended it with another run. Syracuse however managed to tie things up at 2-2 in 7th, then took the lead in the 8th completing the comeback as they won 4-2. Starter Jordan Zimmermann went five innings, giving up six hits, one run, one walk and got three strikeouts for a no-decision. Jason Bergmann got the win in relief while Adam Carr bounced back Saturday night to get his 4th save at AAA.

Notes: Trenton scored 1 run in the bottom of the 1st and added 2 more in the 3rd to give them a 3-0 lead early. Harrisburg remained scoreless until the top of the 9th when Steve Lombardozzi walked and Josh Johnson singled to lead off the inning. Chris Marrero grounded out to move them to second and third, Jesus Valdez grounded out score Lombardozzi while Ofilio Castro singled to send in Johnson. Tim Pahuta couldn’t keep the rally going, grounding into a fielder’s choice to end it. Final score: Trenton 3, Harrisburg 2. Starter Aaron Thompson took loss #12, going five innings, giving up all three Trenton runs on five hits and five walks.

Notes: Jose Lozada’s two-run shot in the bottom of the 10th gave the P-Nats a 7-5 win and completed a three-game sweep of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Newly promoted Rob Wort got the win in relief, pitching two scoreless innings with three walks (one intentional) and two strikeouts. Starting pitcher Marcos Frias went 3⅔ innings and gave up four runs on six hits and three walks and two strikeouts. Hitters of the game Tyler Moore and Sean Rooney accounted for the first four runs of the game via the longball, with Moore hitting a solo shot in the 2nd and Rooney smacking a three-run blast in the 6th to tie the game at 4-4 and take Frias off the hook. The win combined with a cancellation in Salem extended the P-Nats’ lead over second-place Wilmington to 2½ games (three in the loss column) as they head to Kinston for five games in four days before returning to Woodbridge on Friday to take on Winston-Salem.

Notes: Greensboro scored two in the top of the 1st, but the Suns came right back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. In the 2nd Hagerstown added one more, then another in the 3rd, making it 6-2 in favor of the Suns. Greensboro sliced the lead to three with one run in the top of the 4th, but Hagerstown got it back with a run of their own in the 6th. Greensboro made a charge in the 8th with two runs, but the Suns managed to keep Greensboro at bay as they came away with the win at 7-5. Starter Paul Applebee went five innings giving up four hits, three runs and got for strikeouts in the win.

Notes: Jamestown wasted no time getting started as they scored four in the bottom of the 1st. Vermont could only counter that with one run in the 4th, but Jamestown didn’t give them any room as they scored three more in the bottom of the inning. Vermont made a charge with two runs in each of the 6th and 7th innings, but Jamestown put any hope of a comeback to rest in the bottom of the 7th with four more runs, giving them the win at 11-5. Starter Chad Jenkins went three innings giving up four hits, four runs and four walks with the loss. Vermont returns home after the two-day All-Star break to host Lowell for two and Brooklyn for three.
GCL Nationals 0-2 vs. GCL Cardinals — SUSP (2 inn.)
Notes: After two innings this game was suspended with the GCL Cardinals leading 3-0. Starter Brandon King was touched for one run in the 1st, two in the 2nd on five hits (all singles) and no walks before play was halted. The two teams meet again on Friday, which is presumably when this game will be continued.
DSL Nationals — OFF DAY
Notes: The DSL Nationals close out their season with home dates against the Marlins, Mets2, and Giants while visiting the Yankees1, Phillies and Orioles2. At 33-32, the D-Nats need three wins to prevent a losing season, four to finish as a winner.
