Notes: Syracuse had control of this one from start to finish. To start they scored two runs in the top of the 2nd and added three more in the 5th, one in the 6th and two more in the 7th to make it 8-0. Louisville could only answer with 1 run in the 8th but that’s all they could manage as they lost 8-1. Starter Jordan Zimmermann went five innings, giving up one hit, no runs and 5 strikeouts with the win, which is expected to be his final tuneup before rejoining the parent club. Brian Bixler paced the 13-hit attack with a 3-for-5 effort, including a two-run HR.

Notes: Harrisburg began the scoring in the top of the 4th with one run and added two more in the 5th. Akron added one run in the bottom of the 5th, but the Sens quickly countered that run with one run of their own in the 6th inning. To put the icing on the cake Harrisburg added one more run in the top of the 9th to take this one 5-1. Starter Ryan Tatusko went six innings giving up three hits and three walks, one run and registered six strikeouts with the win, his first for Harrisburg. Steve Lombardozzi’s eight-game hitting streak was snapped with an 0-for-4 night.

Notes: Delmarva jumped out of the gate early scoring two runs in the bottom of the 1st , and added one more in the 3rd to take the quick 3-0 lead. But the Suns clawed their way back scoring one run in the 7th and then scoring two more to tie this one at 3-3 in the 9th, sending this one into extras. In the 13th inning Hagerstown managed to sneak in a run with a single, a catcher’s interference call, an error, and an RBI groundout to win this one 4-3. Starter Paul Applebee went five innings giving up eight hits, three runs with two strikeouts for a no-decision while Ben Graham got the win with four scoreless innings of relief.

Notes: Brooklyn got up on the board first with one run in the top of the 2nd, and added two more in the 3rd and another two runs in the 5th making it 5-0. Vermont scored one run in the 6th , but Brooklyn quickly dashed their hopes with one run of their own in the 7th as they won this one 6-1. Starter Aaron Barrett went just 2⅔ innings giving up three hits, three runs and four walks with the loss, shaving their lead over second-place Connecticut to just one game.

Notes: Up 3-0 after two, the GCL Cards took what the GCL Nationals gave them with three runs in the 3rd on a single, two walks and two hit batsmen, cruising to a 7-0 shellacking. The G-Nats managed just four hits and left just five runners on in the loss.

Notes: The GCL Nationals salvaged the doubleheader with a win in the second, regularly scheduled game. After giving up two runs in the top of the 5th to fall behind 2-1, the G-Nats got RBI groundouts in both the 6th and 7th innings to edge the GCL Cardinals 3-2. Starter Christian Meza went four scoreless innings with four hits and two walks allowed while striking out three. Kelvin Lopez was touched for both G-Card runs but finished the game for the win.

Aladin Reyes led the hit parade with a 3-for-3 effort while starting pitcher Anthony Marcelino went five scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 3.06 and register his 5th win of the season.
