Pitching Star: Severino 1IP 1H 0R 1BB 0K
Hitting Star: Botts 1-4, R, HR, RBI
Notes: Two two-out one-run singles gave the Pawtucket all they would need to defeat Syracuse 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. Rehabbing Josh Beckett gave up the lone Chiefs run, a solo shot by Jason Botts, in his four innings of work. With the All-Star break for AAA starting tomorrow, both teams emptied their bullpens and like a Twilight movie, nobody scored the rest of the way. Syracuse starter Jeff Mandel took the loss, allowing both PawSox runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five
Harrisburg Senators W, 7-3 @Reading

Harrisburg added three more in the 4th inning to put them ahead 4-1. Reading could only add 1 run in the bottom of the inning which gave the Sens some room to work. The next inning Harrisburg added one more to make it 5-2 and the score remained that way until the bottom of the 8th where Reading got one last run. Harrisburg put this one to bed in the 9th as they added two more to make it 7-3 which was the final. Starter Ross Detwiler went five innings, giving up seven hits, two runs and one walk to earn the win.

State College pitching staff did the rest as they kept the Lake Monsters scoreless for the entire game, as the Spikes took this one 3-0. Hitting Star #1: Hector Taveras 3-4, RBI
Hitting Star #2: Angel Montilla 1-2, 2R, 2BB, SB
Notes: Relievers Manuel Rivera imploded in the top of the ninth to turn a 3-1 lead into a 3-3 tie in the space of five batters, then yet another two-out error chased home what proved to be the gamewinner, as the GCL Nationals lost 4-3 to the GCL Cardinals. Catcher Hector Taveras led the eight-hit offensive effort, collecting three of his own with an RBI. Tyler Hanks pitched well (one run over 4⅓ innings) in relief of rehabbing Jimmy Barthmaier, who threw three scoreless innings to start the game.
