Syracuse Chiefs W, 1-0 @ Pawtucket
Starting Pitcher: Chico (W, 4-4) 7IP 3H 0R 1BB 4K
Pitching Star: Garate (H, 5) 0.2IP 0H 1K
Hitting Star #1: Whiting 2-4, R, 2B, SB
Hitting Star #2: Lambin 1-3, RBI
Notes: Despite only getting three hits, the one run scored in the eighth inning was all the Chiefs needed to win the game, as they defeated Pawtucket by a score of 1-0. Matt Chico pitched a great game, going seven complete innings, allowing only three hits and a walk. He also struck out four. Victor Garate, Jason Bergmnann and Josh Wilkie combined on the last two frames to nail down the game. Getting the lone RBI was Chase Lambin, who drove in Boomer Whiting after he had doubled and stole third with one out in the 8th. Lambin and Whiting were the only Chiefs to record a hit.
Harrisburg Senators W, 3-2 @ Reading

Hitting Star #1: Martinez 1-3, R, BB, SB, RBI
Hitting Star #2: Valdez 1-4, R, HR, RBI
Notes: Reading started the scoring with one run in the 1st and another in the 2nd getting an early lead of 2-0. The Sens got redemption in the 4th scoring two to tie it all back up at 2-2. Both the Sens and Bowie remained all knotted up at 2-2 until the 8th when Michael Martinez singled to score Ofilio Castro to put the Sens ahead for the eventual final score of 3-2. Starter John Lannan got the no-decision and went six innings, giving up five hits, two runs while walking one and striking out six.
Potomac Nationals vs. Salem Red Sox @ Fenway Park — PPD
Notes: Heavy thundershowers drenched the outfield and forced the cancellation of the game. The two teams will play a scheduled doubleheader tomorrow in Salem, and are likely to make up this game next week in Woodbridge when the two teams meet on July 19-21.
Hagerstown Suns L, 8-6 @ Greenville

Hagerstown added single runs in the 5th and 6th to put them up 6-2. Greenville then let loose, scoring two in the bottom of the 6th and then in the 8th they eclipsed the Suns by scoring four runs to take the lead 8-6. Notes: Mahoning Valley started scoring in the 4th scoring three runs and looked to be off to a good start. But the Lake Monsters didn’t seem to like that and answered with three of their own in the top of the 5th. They didn’t stop there though, as they went on to score four more runs in the 6th and another three runs in the 8th making it 10-3 for Vermont. Mahoning could only put one more up on the scoreboard in the 8th as the Lake Monsters took this one 10-4. Starter Taylor Jordan went four innings giving up four hits, three runs and one walk with six strikeouts with the win.
