Notes: Well, things did not go well for starting pitcher Jason Jones who pitched only ⅔ of an inning and gave up nine hits, 10 runs and 1 walk (yeah, not his day). So the Bulls started their stampede with 10 runs in the bottom of the 1^st, and added one more in the 2^nd to make it 11-1. In the 7^th Durham added two more runs while Syracuse could only answer with 3 runs in the top of the 8^th. Durham added two more runs in the bottom of the 8^th to finish this blowout with a score of 15-4.

Harrisburg Senators L, 8-3 @ New Hampshire

Notes: The Sens remained scoreless until the 7^th in this one, while New Hampshire took advantage of the futility, scoring four in the 4^th and three more in the bottom of the 5^th to build a 7-0 lead. Harrisburg tried to fight back scoring a single run in each the 7^th,8^th, and 9^th innings but with the addition of one more run in the 8^th by New Hampshire, the Sens couldn’t come back as they were downed 8-3. Starting pitcher Aaron Thompson went 4 innings giving up 4 hits, 4 runs and 2 walks with the loss.

Potomac Nationals W, 10-1 @ Wilmington

Hitting Star #1: Rhinehart 2-4, 3R, HR, BB, 4RBI
Hitting Star #2: Lombardozzi 2-5, R, 3B, BB, SB, RBI
Notes: Danny Rosenbaum showed just what he could do with better run support and a less porous infield, throwing eight scoreless innings to lead Potomac to a 10-1 victory, his second in as many starts. Eight batters collected two hits, five batters had a long hit, including a grand slam by Bill Rhinehart in the 7^th that put the game out of reach. Francisco Soriano made his High-A debut and drove in two runs with two sacrifice flies and made no errors. The win also puts Potomac in first place, percentage points ahead of Wilmington, for the first time this season

Hagerstown Suns L, 8-4; W, 9-3 vs. West Virginia

Notes: Jordan Zimmermann was knocked around for the first time in his rehab from Tommy John surgery, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits including two home runs in his five innings of work. West Virginia scored three times in both the 2^nd and 3^rd innings and single runs in both the 5^th and 7^th innings to build an 8-2 lead. Rick Hague made his Low-A debut and tripled in the second of two Hagerstown runs scored in the bottom of the 7^th for the 8-4 final.

Notes: The second game in the double header was a different story then the first. West Virginia started with one run in the top of the 1^st, while Hagerstown must have been mad about their previous loss as they scored seven in the bottom of the inning. In the 3^rd the Suns drove in two more runs, while West Virginia’s only answer was two runs in the 5^th, as Hagerstown won this one 9-3. Starter Evan Bronson won his first Low-A game of the season, pitching five innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk while striking out six.

Vermont Lake Monsters L , 8-3 vs. Tri City

Notes: Tri-City began the scoring with one run in the top of the 3^rd, but Vermont scored two runs right after to steal the lead. In the top of the 6^th Tri-City reclaimed the lead as they scored four runs and added two more in the 7^th and one more in the 9^th to win this one 8-3. Starter Hansen went 5⅔ innings giving up seven hits, five runs and one walk with the loss.

GCL Nationals L, 19-8 @ GCL Cardinals

Notes: Matt Grace was unable to retire any of the eight batters he faced, allowing seven hits and hitting one batter. Mike Gallo wasn’t much more effective, allowing both inherited runners to score while the GCL Cardinals built a 13-1 lead after two innings with an eight-run first and five-run second.
Michael Taylor paced the 14-hit offensive effort with two singles and home run, driving in three. Aamzingly, the game had but one error despite the 27 runs and 35 hits combined.

DSL Nationals W, 4-3 vs. DSL Phillies

Hitting Star #1: Victor Chavez 2-3, R, 2BB
Hitting Star #2: Jean Valdez 2-5, 2B, RBI
Notes: Down 3-0 after allowing a three-run 5^th, the DSL Nationals chipped away at the DSL Phillies bullpen, scoring single runs in the 7^th and 8^th innings to pull within one at 3-2. The comeback seemed unlikely after the first two batters were retired in the 9^th, but a walk, a single, an error, and another single plated the tying and winning runs to give the D-Nats a 4-3 win. Starter Antonio Guzman went seven innings, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven.
