Jarlin Susana made the start and let in a run on one hit and three hits over three innings. He struck out six.
Kevin Bazzell, perhaps still starstruck by his batterymate, also started and went 0-for-2 with a walk at the plate and 0-for-2 catching opposing basestealers.
Brock Gillis was the third Nationals minor-leaguer to appear. The 24-y.o. indy-league pickup struck out the side in the 5th on 17 pitches, 10 for strikes.
Salt River (9-6) returns home to host Scottsdale (9-5) this afternoon.
