The Rafters blew leads of 3-2 and 5-3 but prevailed in extras to win 6-5 over the Desert Dogs.
Teo Banks once again made the start, this time in right field and in the #8 slot. He went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer that gave Salt River a 5-3 lead in the 6th. Defensively, he had four putouts and fielded a single.
Owen Puk walked two and struck out three over an inning and a 1/3rd across the 7th and 8th innings and saw both of those walks come in after Colorado’s Fidel Ulloa gave up a single and double to the first two batters he faced before getting the next five outs. Puk would earn the hold and Ulloa the (dreaded) blown-save-win when Yasser Mercedes stole third with one out and came home on a balk.
Arizona’s Connor Foley hit a batter but finished the game to earn the save.
Salt River (6-2) returns home to host Mesa (2-4) tomorrow night.
