Andry Lara came up as the opener on the Nats Magic 8 ball and the former prospect gave up the lone RailRiders run on a hit batsman, a wild pitch, and the second of two singles before he left with one out in the 3rd. Kyle Nicolas was the pitcher of record when Petersen drove in the go-ahead run in the 6th to get the “W” while Gus Varland didn’t let in two inherited runners nor either of his two walks to score while recording the final four outs to earn the save. Petersen tripled in 8th while Leandro Pineda singled, doubled, and scored a run to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: RHP Yovanny Cruz recalled to Washington; UT Phillip Glasser placed on the 7-Day I.L.

Harrisburg Senators, 30-31, 4th E.L. Southwest, 10GB – 64-66 Overall
The Senators split with Altoona last week to finish the final homestand at 5-7. This week, Harrisburg heads to Manchester not by the sea in New Hampshire to close out the 2026 campaign. Barring any rainouts, they’ll need to win four to finish .500 and five to having a winning record for 2026.

Fredericksburg Nationals, 34-31, 2nd C.L. North, 5½ GB – 80-51 Overall
Fredericksburg is going into the playoffs riding a seven-game win streak that secured a winning record in the second half and turned a -14 run differential to a +36, 22 of which came on a 24-2 paternity test this past Friday. The too-short best-of-three C.L.D.S. begins in North Carolina with Game Two in FredVegas on Thursday and Game Three on Friday (if necessary).
