The Red Wings fell behind 3-0 after three before putting up crooked numbers like a DOGE accountant in the 4th through 6th innings in a 12-4 win over the Bisons. Matt “OK, technically I am a” Krook opened the game with two unearned runs let in on three hits, no walks, and two whiffs over an inning and a 1/3rd. The win went to Joe Glassey, perhaps not the most effective reliever but the first to not let in a run with four up and four down, two by way of the K across the 4th and 5th innings. Cortland Lawson led the offensive charge with a walk, a single, a triple, and a homer, followed by Seaver King with a walk, single, and his 15th HR. Buddy Kennedy (single, double) and Cayden Wallace (two singles) also had multiple hit. Sam Petersen was the beer man ans saw his 11-hit game hitting streak end.
Alas, Indianapolis won its fifth straight to keep pace while Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Lennon/McCartney lost to fall two behind with four to play. The Mets have also entered the chat, trailing by a game and a half but would need some help – so maybe keep an eye on the sprinkler systems as there’s no rain forecast in either upstate New York or suburban Atlanta over the next four days.
