Rochester had but one extra-base hit out of nine and only two walks in a 4-0 shutout by Syracuse. Jack Cebert took his first AAA loss with two runs on six hits over four innings with four walks and four strikeouts. Liover Peguero was the (light) beer man as everyone else had a single while Phillips Glasser had a double, joining Seaver King and Cayden Wallace in reaching base twice (single, walk). Eight runners were left on base and only one runner was thrown out at home. Roster moves: 3B Buddy Kennedy assigned from Washington (MLFA, DFA’d by Giants 8/27).

The wheels came off the bus in the 10th as the Curve scored four unearned runs in a 12-7 win over Senators. The ‘pen inherited five runners and prevented none of them from scoring, which earned Luke Young a blown save and Sandy Gaston his sixth loss. Harrisburg committed five errors, including two by Kervin Pichardo (nos. 9 & 10) and… wait for it… two by Caleb Lomavita (26, 27). Nick Mitchell led the Harrisburg hit column with four singles, followed by Devin Fitz-Gerald with a single and a homer. Starter Josh Hartle was dinged with five runs (three earned) on five hits (one HR) and two walks over four and 2/3rds innings. Roster moves: LHP Richard Lovelady MLB rehab transferred from Fredericksburg.

SSDL but with fewer errors as Wilmington racked up 10 hits and no runs in a 7-0 loss to Hudson Valley. R.J. Sales took the loss with the first Renegades run let in on two hits and two walks over three and 2/3rds. He struck out four. Elijah Nunez led the Blue Rocks with three singles while Yeremy Cabrera and Angel Feliz both went 2-for-4 with a walk. Ronny Cruz and Eli Willits both had two-baggers. Despite three double plays, Wilmington left on 13 baserunners.

The FredNats extended their winning streak to four and got back to .500 in the second half with a 7-3 downing of the WarBirds. Landon Harmon muddled through the first three innings, giving up two runs on a first-inning HR and three hits total over the first three. He walked two and struck out three. Cooper Carlgren’s two prefect innings earn him his first professional win. Dashyll Tejeda and Christhian Vaquero both went 2-for-3 with a walk and combined for three runs and three RBI to lead the Fredericksburg offense.
