The Red Wings only homered three times and the duct-tape-and-baling-wire bullpen approach faltered in a 9-8 loss to the RailRiders. Chandler Champlain started but was lifted after two runs let in on six hits and no walks over three innings. Riley Cornelio followed with two goose eggs, but the the final four relievers were ineffective, combining to give up seven runs over the last three innings. Gus Varland got the blown-save-loss as he let in both inherited runners and two of his own, albeit unearned. Seaver King singled twice and homered while Sam Petersen doubled twice. Leandro Pineda his his 4th HR while Trey Lipscomb extended his seven-game hit streak with his third HR during the streak, a grand slam that gave Rochester its first lead at 5-3. Harrisburg was limited to two hits, but one of ’em was Elijah Green’s first AA homer, which ended a perfect game bid and gave the Senators a 1-0 lead that Issac Lyon held for his first career save. Jack Cebert went the first four and struck out six while giving up an infield single and walking two. Robert Cranz worked a three-up, three-down 5th and was beneficiary of Green’s longball. Lyon scattered five hits, walked none, and struck out five over the last four innings. Sam Brown doubled with one out in the 8th to become the second and final Sens baserunner. He watched Green fly out and Devin Ortiz pop out, accounting for the 0-2 RISP stat. Roster moves: RHP Jake Cebert activated from the 7-Day I.L.; RHP Blake Brown placed on the Development List.

Brady Hill lost the lead in the 7th for a blown save while Chance Huff let in the final two runs for the loss, his first at High-A. Like a small-town bar at last call, it was ugly, but Fredericksburg came away with the walkoff win, 9-8. R.J. Sales, who has had at least one UCL replacement, made his first appearance since September 2025 but was strafed for five hits and two runs over two ans a 1/3rd innings. Noah Millikan dug the hole deeper with six runs in the middle innings before the FredNats rallied for three in the 8th, and got a two-out walk, a line-drive single, and a dying quail to plate the game-winner. Coy James, Sir Jamison Jones, and Hunter Hines combined for seven hits, a double (Hines), a triple (James) three HR (one each), four runs scored, and six RBI to power the Fredericksburg offense.
