Rochester sent 11 men to the plate in the 6th and saw six of them score as they rallied from a three-run deficit and took Game Three, 10-5. Luis Perales pitched poorly but still won, allowing all five Scranton/Wilkes-Barre runs on five hits (one HR) and two walks over five innings. Max Romero Jr. doubled once, homered twice, and drove in four while Trey Lipscomb singled three times and drove in two to power the RedWings offense. Roster moves: RHP Wyatt Mills assigned from Washington (waiver claim from Dodgers); RHP Erick Mejia transferred from 7-Day I.L. to 60-Day I.L.

Sam Brown’s three-run HR with one out in the 9th turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 Senators win. Josh Hartle pitched into the 6th in his Harrisburg debut, giving up a run on three hits, no walks, and striking out seven. Luke Young picked up the win, his third at AA, with two perfect innings in the 8th and 9th. Brown also singled while Kervin Pichardo reached base three times to lead the Sens’ six-hit, one-walk offense.

Wilmington barely avoided by being no-hit as they lost their third straight to Brooklyn, 3-2. Tucker Biven opened and lost with the first two Cyclone runs let in on four hits with no walks and four whiffs. Mikey Tepper gave up the third on a solo HR and two hits total over four innings. Elijah Nunez broke up the shutout with a Homer Simpson RBI in the 2nd on the first of two HBPs, which scored Jacob Walsh who had led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch. Ronny Cruz ended the no-hitter in the 5th with the one hit in nine RISP chances, a number inflated by ten (10) walks issued by Brooklyn. Eli Willits scored the second and final Blue Rocks run on an errant pickoff throw that went into CF and was subsequently thrown 15′ wide of the plate.

The FredNats continued their second-half imitation of the F-Nats in an 18-7 loss to the Shorebirds. Marlon De La Cruz lost for the fourth time in ten starts, coughing up six runs on six hits and six walks over three and 2/3rds innings. Christhian Vaquero singled, walked, and homered while Everett Cooper singled, walked, and scored a run to power the Fredericksburg counterattack.

The DSL Nationals remain 0-for-August (and a little bit of July, too) as they lost their 9th straight, 8-6 to the DSL Twins. Jhoan Thomas didn’t make it out of the 3rd as he was dinged for four runs (three earned) on five hits, no walks, and one hit batsman over two and 1/3rd as he lost for the second time. Esnaider Vargas and Euris Acosta both scored a run and reached base twice on a walk and a double to lead the D-Nats offense.
