Charlotte picked up where they left off on Wednesday night and scored in each of the first three innings to build a 5-0 lead en route to handing Rochester a 10-2 loss. Chandler Champlain gave up those aforementioned five runs on eight hits (two HR) over three and a 1/3rd. Brady House singled, doubled, and walked while Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin accounted for both Red Wings runs on a two-run HR, his sixth. Roster moves: C Kyle Hayes transferred from Harrisburg Development list to Rochester Development List; LHP Carson Palmquist recalled to Washington; RHP Paxton Schultz optioned from Washington.

The BaySox homered twice in the 9th but the Senators held on for a 3-2 win. Alex Young opened the game with a scoreless inning, striking out two. The win went to Connor Van Scoyoc, who tossed four scoreless with three hits, no walks, and two whiffs. Holden Powell gave up two longballs in the 9th but got the rulebook save. Sam Brown singled three times, T.J. White had two safties and drove in a run, and Ethan Petry homered to power the Harrisburg offense.

Frederick got to Miguel Sime Jr. for two in the 1st and it was one more than needed as the Keys shut out Wilmington, 2-0 on three hits. Sime gave up two hit, walked three, and struck out sevem over three and 2/3rds while taking his first A+ loss. Kevin Bazzell, Jacob Walsh, and Randal each had a double with the bases empty as the Blue Rocks drew four walks and struck out 14 times, led by… nope, just one whiff and two walks for Elijah Green… Diaz and Yeremy Cabrera with three apiece.

The Warbirds were flying high with a 3-0 lead after six and a half innings. Then the FredNats rallied for six in the 7th and three in the 8th to shoot them down, 9-3. Liam Sullivan walked five and struck out six over the first four innings. After Max Kranick “worked on some things” to dig a three-run ditch, Austin Amaral shut down Wilson for the next three to get the “W.” Elian Soto reached base four times on a single, double, and two walks and drove in two while Jorgelys Mota singled and hit the game-winning three-run HR to power the Fredericksburg offense.

The FCL Nationals scored in three of four “ups” to take an 8-2 lead before the game was suspended with two out in the bottom of the 4th. They’ll finish this on July 11 in Jupiter. Roster moves: RHP Valentin Linarez reassigned from Harrisburg Senators; RHP Blake Brown assigned from Washington (MLFA).
