Andrew Alvarez dominated the RailRiders for five shutout innings to lead the Red Wings to 3-1 win. The 26-y.o. southpaw walked one and struck out 10 while giving up one hit and one walk as he got the “W.” After Erik Tolman (2IP) and Eddie Yean (1IP) kept the donut shop open, Seth Shuman lost the shutout as he wobbled through the 9th to get the rulebook save. Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin led the Rochester hit column with two singles while Harry Ford and Trey Lipscomb added doubles.

Harrisburg broke out for three in the 6th to erase a 2-1 deficit then piled on in the late innings to derail Altoona, 7-2. Alex Clemmey walked five, struck out four, and needed 63 pitches to record nine outs before he was lifted. Luke Young stranded two in the 5th and worked a scoreless 6th to pick up the win. Branden Boissiere homered, tripled, walked, scored twice, and drove in four while offseason pickup Leandro Pineda went 2-for-4 with an RBI to power the Senators offense. Roster moves: C Caleb Farmer hidden placed on the Development List; RHPs Marquis Grissom & Dylan TeBrake, LHP Jackson Kent placed on the 7-Day I.L.
Wilmington Blue Rocks
The Blue Rocks open at home for a weekend series before they head out on the road to play the first six of thirty games against the Renegades, “thanks” to a ridiculously unbalanced schedule that has Wilmington playing five teams once, two teams not at all (Rome & Greenville), and two road trips south of Frederick, which has relocated from Aberdeen for the 2026 season to revive the Keys after a six-year hiatus.
Fredericksburg Nationals
SSDL, as Fredericksburg hosts Augusta this weekend for the one and only series between the two teams. The FredNats play three other teams just once, zip against the RiverDogs, and the ShoreBirds and Howlers four times apiece, 24 and 21 games respectively. If the latter moniker is unfamiliar, that’s because Lynchburg has rebranded itself as Howl City while the Red Sox are now the Salem RidgeYaks and the Carolina Mudcats have moved from Zebulon to Wilson to become the WarBirds.
