Prior to yesterday’s game, the Nats announced five players—all NRIs—had been reassigned to minor-league camp:
● RHP Andry Lara
● RHP Jarlin Susana
● RHP Travis Sykora
● RHP Eddy Yean
● C Max Romero Jr.
That reduces the camp roster ro roughly 60, according to longtime Nats beat writer Mark Zuckerman.
As we saw yesterday, fewer and fewer of “our guys” will be starting this week as the Nats do not leave West Palm Beach until next Tuesday (no word on whether there will pay be for yesterday’s hamburger).
Tomorrow night, the Nats will play an exhibition against the Venezuelan entry into the WBC. Foster Griffin, who has spent the past three seasons in Japan, is expected to start for Washington.
