Wahington sent 11 men to the plate in the bottom of the 8th and five of them came around to score in a 6-1 win over St. Louis. The Nats remain unbeaten with four wins and one tie.
Cade Cavalli walked one and struck out one as he turned in two scoreless innings in his first start of the spring. He threw 24 pitches, 13 for strikes.
Kyle Luckham pitched the final two innings to pick up the win. He gave up one hit, walked none, and struck out two and did not allow a run.
Harry Ford got the start behind the plate and batted 8th but was caught looking in the 3rd and grounded out in the 5th. He gunned down a runner trying to steal third in the 2nd.
Seaver King was the No. 9 batter and reached base on an error (3rd) and had an infield single in the 5th. He had two assists as the starting shortstop.

- Cayden Wallace replaced Brady House at 3B and went 0-for-1 with a walk and a run scored.
- Jack Rogers pinch-hit for Keibert Ruiz and drew a bases-loaded walk to drive in a run in the 8th and later scored a run.
- Christhian Vaquero followed Robert Hassell in CF and plated two with a two-out, two-run single in the 8th and was 1-for-2 overall.
- Riley Cornelio pitched the 6th and 7th innings without a run scoring, allowing one hit and striking out three.
It’s another night game tonight as the Nats travel to Tampa to visit the Yankees. Andrew Alvarez is expected to start for Washington for the first time this spring.
