Four Nationals appeared in the game:
- Seaver King was the DH and reached base twice on a single and a Robles, scoring one run and strking out once.
- Sam Petersen shifted over to left field and had two putouts on defense. At the plate, he walked, singled, scored a run, and drove in run in four PAs.
- Ethan Petry patrolled right field and snagged one flyball while going 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI on offense.
- Jared Simpson mopped up in the 9th, retiring the sole batter he faced on a flyball to center.
With the win, Scottsdale improves to 2-2. Heavy rain has already washed out today’s games across the AFL and tomorrow’s games could be in jeopardy as well.
