The Red Wings rallied in the 9th to avoid a shutout in a 9-1 loss to the Redbirds. Bryce Conley lost for the fourth time with four runs allowed on six hits (one HR) and a walk while striking out four. Andrew Pinckney and Jackson Cluff both singled twice with Cluff scoring ahead of Christian “Hey It’s” Franklin’s single, the ninth of the game for Rochester. Roster moves: C C.J. Stubbs optioned from Washington; 1B Juan Yepez, RHP Chase Solesky activated from 7-Day I.L.

Harrisburg fell to Chesapeake in the opener, 5-1. Jake Bennett gave up all four BaySox runs on six hits (one HR) and a walk while striking out seven and losing his second AA game. Branden Boisserie got one of four (4) singles and two of the five (5) walks the Senators were able to muster. Roster move: C Keibert Ruiz assigned from Washington for MLB Rehab.

The Blue Rocks got the memo about no extra-base hits and strafed the IronBirds with six singles in a 4-2 loss. Peyton Glavine opened the game with two and 2/3rds scoreless innings. Euri Montero stranded one runner while getting out of the 3rd to preserve Wilmington’s 2-0 lead. He lost the game in the 4th with three runs let in on two hits, two walks, a Robles, and a wild pitch. Jeremy De La Rosa reached base with two singles and the sole Wilmington walk and drove in a run as did Gavin Dugas with a…. wait for it… single.

Carolina got the first of the five wins they’ll need to overtake Fredericksburg with a 9-5 decision. Brayan Romero got knocked from the box in the second and took the loss. He let in five runs on four hits and four walks and struck out three. The FredNats got all five runs in the 7th, highlighted by the only extra-base hit in the Nationals minors on Monday night: A two-run home run by Nick “Power to the” Peoples. Jorgelys Mota also drove in two while going 2-for-5 with a stolen base.
