Rocehster 4 Jacksonville 3
• Cornelio 6IP, 8H, 3R, 3ER, 0BB, 7K, HR, 2WP
• Powell (W, 4-1) 2IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 2K
• Loutos (SV, 4) 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Morales 3-3, 2R, HR, 2RBI, E
• Baker 2-4, R, 2B, SB

With the help of an errant pickoff throw, Rochester pushed across a run in the top of the 9th to break a 3-3 tie and held on to win, 4-3. Riley Cornelio gave up all three runs on eight hits over six innings for the quality start (but no-decision). He walked none and struck out seven. Holden Powell put up goose eggs in the 7th and 8th innings and got the win. Ryan Loutos set the side down in order in the 9th to get the save. Yoyo Morales singled twice, homered, and drove in two while Darren Baker singled, doubled, and scored the winning run on a sac fly by Nasim Nuñez. Roster moves: RHP Mason Thompson recalled to Washington.

Altoona 9 Harrisburg 2
• Susana (L, 1-2) 1⅔ IP, 1H, 3R, 3ER, 3BB, 3K, HBP, WP
• S. Brown 1-4, HR, 2RBI
• Boissiere 1-3, BB

Jarlin Susana’s 33rd pitch went high and wide, but all eyes were on the hulking 21-y.o. as he walked off the mound, shaking his glove hand, and then went to one knee (pictured). He rubbed the back of his right arm, stretched once, then walked off the mound into the dugout and into (presumably) the clubhouse. Given that he missed more than 10 weeks with a Grade 1 UCL sprain from May to July, it’s difficult not to conclude that he may have torn the UCL and will undergo surgery. At a minimum, it would seem that he has thrown his last pitch of 2025. The Curve would go on to score six times with two outs off Hyun-Il Choi, including a three-run HR. Sam Brown homered in the 9th to prevent the shutout as the Senators were held to four hits.

Wilmington 6 Greensboro 2
• Da. Garcia 3⅓ IP, 0H, 0R, 6BB, 3K, 84-46 PIT-K
• W. Arias (W, 4-4) 3⅔ IP, 4H, 2R, 1ER, 2BB, 2K, HR, E, 3-0 IR-S
• Nunez 3-5, 2R, 2B, RBI
• Lawson 2-4, R, RBI, CS
• Yepez 1-4, R, BB, HR, 2RBI

Wilmington won back-to-back games for the first time in more than two weeks with a 6-2 win over Greensboro. Davian Garcia walked six and hit a batter over three and a 1/3rd innings but did not give up a hit. Wander Arias stranded all three inherited runners getting out of the 4th and gave up both Grasshopper runs on four hits (one HR) and two walks over the next three innings to earn his fourth win. Elijah Nunez singled twice, scored twice, and doubled while Cortland Lawson went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Blue Rocks offense.

Fredericksburg 6 Lynchburg 0
• Polanco (W, 7-8) 6IP, 3H, 0R, 3BB, 3K
• Luis 2IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 0K
• Feliz 2-3, R, RBI, SB
• Willits 2-4, BB, RBI
• Walsh 1-3, 2R, 2BB, SB, E

Three FredNats pitchers combined to shut out the Hillcats, 6-0 on five hits. Bryan Polanco won his seventh game and notched his fourth quality start with three hits, three walks, and three whiffs. Angel Feliz singled twice, scored a run, drove in a run, and stole a base while ELi Willits reached base three times on two safeties and a base-on-balls to lead the Fredericksburg offense. The Nats #1 pick and #1 prospect is now batting .419/.500/.452 with four walks, five runs, five RBI, and two stolen bases.
