The Red Wings left 14 runners on base but were able to edge the (ugh) Woo Sox, 4-3 to even the series. Chase Solesky didn’t make it out of the 5th, lifted with one out and two runs in on three hits and three walks. He struck out two. Following three outs by Zach Brzkycy, Konnor Pilkington cleaned up Brzkycy’s mess in the 5th and pitched a scoreless 6th. Rochester rallied for three to take a 4-2 lead to put Pilkington in position to get the win on three singles, a walk, a wild pitch, and two steals. Ryan Loutos got the last four outs to pick up his third save.

Erie outhomered and outscored Harrisburg, 2-1 and 3-2 respectively to win this rain-shortened game. Kyle Luckham will get credit for a complete-game loss with all three Seawolves runs allowed on four this and a walk while striking out three. Joe Naranjo homered for the Senators while Seaver King, Max Romero Jr., and Phillip Glasser each had a single. Roster moves: RHP Travis Sykora placed on the 7-Day I.L.

Bryan Cáceres started in place of Alex Clemmey—the replacement for Travis Sykora in the Futures Game—and dug a 6-0 hole for the Blue Rocks batters. They weren’t equipped with shovels, but perhaps should have been as the Cyclones pitchers shut them out, 13-0 on three hits. Cáceres was smoked for four hits, including a two-run HR, and four walks while striking out two over two innings. The most effective Wilmington reliever? Gavin Dugas, who got the last out of the 8th while stranding two runners. Branden Boisseire and Jackson Ross accounted for all three hits and both walks by the Blue Rocks.

With its second win in as many games, Fredericksburg took over first place from Carolina with a 4-2 decision. Davian Garcia weht the first five innings and let in one run on three hits and four walks while striking out five. Merritt Beeker let in the tying run to earn a blown save (and hand Garcia his fifth no-decision) but Merrick Baldo cordero’d around two baserunners in the 9th to get the “W.” Nick “Power to the” Peoples’s two-run HR in the top of the 9th was the killshot. Randal Diaz reached base three times with two singles and a walk while Jorgelys Mota and Nate Rombach both had a single and double to pace the FredNats offense.

With the help of a wild pitch and a passed ball, the F-Nats busted out for three in the 6th to take a 4-1 lead and held serve to win, 5-2. Leuris Portorreal turned in five innings of one-run ball on four hits, no walks, and five strikeouts, but came came away with a no-decision. Leodarlyn Colon gave up the second F-Marlins run but came away with the win while Andy Luis worked around two baserunners in the 9th to get the save. Elijah Green reached base three times on two singles and a walks and swiped two bags while Elian Soto had two safeties and an RBI to lead the FCL Nationals offense.
