The Red Wings went just 1-for-10 with RISP in a 2-0 shutout loss to the (ugh) Woo Sox. Cade Cavalli gave up both Worcester runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks. He struck out seven and lost his fourth AAA game this season. Robert Hassell (single, walk) and Andrés Chapparro both reached base twice (two walks) to pace Rochester’s four-hit, six-walk offense. Roster moves: LHP Shinnosuke Ogasawara optioned from Washington.

Erie vs. Harrisburg – PPD
The heavy rains that swept through much of the East Coast on Saturday rendered the field in Harrisburg too wet to play on Sunday. Presumably, they’ll make this one when the two teams play again next month in Erie. Roster moves: RHP Andry Lara recalled to Washington.

Wilmington 4 Brooklyn 1
• Bennett (W, 1-2) 5IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 5K
• W. Arias (H, 1) 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 3K
• Amaral (SV, 4) 1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Petersen 2-4, R, HR, 3RBI
• Banks 1-4, R, OF assist @ HP

Sam Petersen’s two-out, three-run HR broke open a one-run game for the Blue Rocks, who went on to a 4-1 win to split the series. Jake Bennett earned in his first win of the season, spinning five scoreless innings with three hits, one walk, and five whiffs. After Yeuris Jimenez lost the shutout on an unearned run in the 6th, Wander Arias put up two goose eggs for the hold and Austin Amaral worked around a two-out single to get the save. Petersen also singled to lead Wilmington’s hit column and was one of two players (Armando Cruz) not to strike out.

Fredericksburg vs. Carolina – PPD
Inclement weather postponed the finale between first-place Carolina and second-place Fredericksburg. They’ll make it up on the final series of the regular season, to be held at the FredNats home stadium the week before Labor Day.

FCL Nationals, 26-20, 2nd place FCL East, 5½ GB
The F-Nats fell another 2½ games behind the F-Astros while splitting the four games that were completed. Both losses were to their co-tenants. It’s seven games in six days with makeup games today and Thursday, including three more games against the FCL Astros.

DSL Nationals, 15-15, T4th place, DSL South, 6GB
The DSL Nationals lost three of five to drop their won-loss to .500 and their run differential to -11. With the DSL All-Star game next Sunday, it’s three road games and one home game with off days Wednesday and Saturday this week for the D-Nats.
