Cade Cavalli made it through five full innings for the first time in 33 months as the Rochester bats delivered six runs and the bullpen only gave back three in a 6-4 win over Syracuse. The Nats’ #1 pick in 2020 gave up a run on a home run and four hits total over five innings to get the win, his first since the aforementioned 8/20/22 start (also a win). He walked one and struck out five. The Red Wings blasted Mets pitchers for five singles, but three came in the same inning (6th), which combined with two walks, a steal of home, and a Brady House sac fly plated four runs to turn a 2-1 game into a 6-1 lead. The Senators dodged the rain on Wednesday but no such luck on Thursday. They’ll shoot to make it up with a doubleheader tomorrow.

T.J. White’s two-run single capped off a three-run 1st while Caleb Lomavita’s 5th-innng solo HR turned out to be the gamewinner as Wilmington edged Aberdeen, 4-3. Jackson Kent gave up all three IronBirds runs but pitched into the seventh for the third time as he picked up his fourth win. He walked two, struck out four, and gave up six hits (one HR). White led the Blue Rocks hit column with four safetfies, followed by Lomavita and Branden Boisserie who both went 2-for-5 with an RBI to power the Wilmington offense. Roster moves: RHP Travis Sykora promtoted from Fredericksburg.

Nick “Power to the” Peoples’s two-run double broke a 3-3 tie and put the FredNats up 5-3, which the bullpen held for a 5-4 win over the MudCats. Alexander Meckley turned in five innings of two-run ball on five hits and four walks while striking out one. He left with a 3-2 lead that Ryan Minckler lost with the “help” of a Luke Dickerson error, though he did walk two in his single inning pitched. Minckler came away with a blown-save-win while Adam Bloebaum earned the save with two perfect innings. Roismar Quintana reached base three times with two singles and a walk while Jackson Ross singled and doubled to lead the the FredNats attack.

Dashyll Tejeda singled, stole second, took third on a wild pitch, and scored the go-ahead run on an error as the FCL Nationals got two in the 9th to beak the FCL Marlins, 5-3. Starter Darrel Lunar gave up all three runs on five hits and a walk over two and a 1/3 innings. 23-y.o. MLFAs Luke Johnson and Tommy Kane combined for 10Ks and six and 2/3 scoreless innings relief with Kane earning the win. Angel Feliz and Jamison Jones both drove in two as the F-Nats took advantage of nine walks and three errors to score five times on five hits.
