The Red Wings shut out the (ugh) Woo Sox for two innings. The other seven? Not so much. Worcester set franchise records for hits (26) and runs in a 20-7 defenestration of Rochester. Hyun-il Choi retired four of 12 batters, allowing eight runs on six hits (three HR), no walks, and no strikeouts. It was his third loss in as many starts. All seven Red Wings runs came via the long ball, with Franchy Cordero and Paul Witt both hitting two-run shots and Brady Lindlsy connecting for an Earl Weaver special. Witt also mopped up in the 8th and 9th innings. Roster moves: RHP Matt Bollenbacher reassigned from Fredericksburg.

New Hampshire got five in the 7th to erase a 3-1 deficit and held off Harrisburg to hand the Senators a 6-5 loss. Seth Shuman allowed one run on a home run and three hits total over six innings for his first quality start of ’25. He walked none and struck out six. The blown-save-loss went to veteran Garrett Davila as he retired just one of five batters faced and served up a home run, as did Marquis Grissom to allow both inherited runners to score. C.J. Stubbs singled twice and hit a two-run HR in the 8th while J.T. Arruda doubled, walked, and scored a run to pace the Senators offense.

The Blue Rocks failed to score three runs for the seventh time in 13 games, falling to the Renegades, 2-1. Jackson Kent gave up both runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk over five innings. He walked one, struck out four, committed an error that came around to score, and let in the second run on two-out wild pitch. Johnathon Thomas singled twice and drove in Marcus Brown, who led off the 6th with a double. Wilmington collected five hits total, no walks, and struck out 12 times – led by… wait for it… Elijah Green with three to bring his season total to 25 in 51PA.

In a game that featured 11 walks, 24 strikeouts, and five Fayetteville errors (oh my!), Fredericksburg managed to escape with a 9-6 win in 12 innings. Yoel Tejeda turned in another five innings of two-run ball on two hits, three walks, and a Robles. He struck out five. The FredNats trailed until the 8th when Jorgelys Mota doubled in two and scored in each of the three extra innings, with Mota doubling another run in the Fredericksburg’s three-run 12th. Robert Cranz pitched the first two extra frames and allowed all three Woodpecker runs, with the one earned run on a home run that blew a 6-5 lead. He would nevertheless get the win. Austin Amaral induced three straight flyouts in the 12th to earn the save. Roster moves: Cade Cavalli emerged from witness protection assigned from Washington for MLB Rehab .
