The RedWings blew leads of 2-0 and 4-2 but eked past the RailRiders, 5-4 to earn a series split. Tyler Stuart fared much batter in his second start against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Lennon/McCartney, allowing two runs on six hits (one HR) and two walks over four and 2/3rds. He struck out five. Amos Willingham let in both inherited runners in the 6th with the “help” of a Stone Garrett error to blow his 4th ave but pitched a 1-2-3 seventh to earn his fourth win. Riley Adams went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead Rochester’s ten-hit, two-walk offense. Roster moves: RHP Zach Brzykcy recalled to Washington; OF Darren Baker added to 40-man roster, recalled to Washington.

Portland busted out for five in the 3rd and cruised to a 9-1 win to split the series with Harrisburg. Seth Shuman was charged with those five runs (two earned) on five hits (one HR) and two walks while catching one batter looking. J.T. Arruda singled in Cortland Lawson with two down in the 7th to break up the shutout as the Senators were held to eight singles by eight different batters with Jeremy De La Rosa the beer man and Robert Hassell drawing two of the five Harrisburg walks.

A six-run 2nd put this one away for the Blue Rocks who went on to win, 7-1 and take the series, 4-2. Riley Cornelio pitched seven full innings for the second time this season, allowing the IronBirds run on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven. It was his eighth win. Wilmington marched to an 11-hit parade, led by Onix Vega with two singles and a walk and trailed by T.J. White who was the beer man with three strikeouts. Roster moves: LHP Jared Simpson transferred from Fredericksburg (has not appeared in a game in 2024).

Fredericksburg vs. Kannapolis – CNCLD
The finale between Fredericksburg and Kannapolis was rained out and will not be made up. Coupled with the Mudcats loss yesterday, the FredNats are back in 1st place with a magic number of eight to win the division, five to clinch a playoff spot.
