It was a battle of the bullpens without extra innings as the IronPigs walked off the Red Wings, 2-1. Tim Cate was the opener, putting on three base runners over two innnings but emerging unscathed. Zach Brzykcy gave up the first run on a solo HR in the 4th that tied the game at 1-1. Orlando Ribalta plunked the first batter he faced, then gave up an RBI double to the second to take the loss. Joey Meneses doubled with one out and scored on a Trey Lipscomb single, the first of six by Rochester but the only hit in eight RISP chances. Darren Baker also doubled while Brady House went 2-for-4 with a stolen base to pace the Red Wings offense. Roster moves: C Drew Millas recalled to Washington; C Jarrett Gonzales retrieved from the storage unit activated from the Developmental List.

Harrisburg erased a 1-0 deficit with three in the top of the 5th only to have Akron get one back for a 3-3 tie. The RubberDucks walked off the Senators with a one-out triple followed by a single to win, 4-3. That made a loser out of Todd Peterson after pitching a scoreless 8th. Kyle Luckham got the start and recorded both a no-decision and a quality start with three runs allowed on three hits, no walks, and three whiffs over the first six innings. Cortland Lawson and C.J. Stubbs both went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, and a run scored to lead the Harrisburg attack.

The Blue Rocks got three in the first with three straight two-out hits, capped off by T.J. White’s 13th HR. They would get three more hits, one more walk, and two Robles over the next eight innings as the Renegades retrieved their bounty, 7-3 to extend Wilmington’s losing streak to ten games. José Atencio took the loss on five runs lets in on eight hits and two walks over three innings. Joe Naranjo drew the lone walk and singled twice while Murphy Stehly single, doubled, and scored a run to pace the Blue Rock offense.

Columbia struck for three in the first and led wire-to-wire as the Fireflies bottled up the FredNats, 4-0 on six hits. Brayan Romero gave up all four runs on four hits (one HR) and three walks to wear the “L,” his first at Low-A. He struck out two. Brenner Cox reached base four times on two singles, a walk, and a triple while Elijah Green singles twice and only struck out once. The rest of the lineup went 1-for-25 with 12 whiffs. Roster moves: SS Kelvin Diaz reassigned from the FCL.
