The “L” went to Thad Ward, who gave up a two-run HR in the 2nd and five hits total while walking two and striking out four over five innings. Andrés Chaparro homered to give Rochester a 2-0 lead in the 1st, then walked and singled. The rest of the lineup went 2-for-27 with six walks.

Harrisburg vs. Bowie – PPD
They pulled the plug on Game Three of the Harrisburg-Bowie series well before first pitch (how novel). With rain in the forecast today, the plan is to make it up with a doubleheader tomorrow. Roster moves: IF Yohandy Morales activated from the 7-Day I.L.

Jersey Shore vs. Wilmington – PPD
SSDL for Battle of the Blues in Wilmington. Same plan for making it up too. Roster moves: RHP Jaren Zinn released; RHP Mason Denaburg, who turned 25 yesterday, reassigned from Fredericksburg.

Carolina vs. Fredericksburg – PPD
Given the track of the storm, Fredericksburg was the first to call it off yesterday. Like Wilmington and Harrisburg, the plan is to make it up tomorrow, if the field will be playable after last night’s and this morning’s rains.
