Rochester scored three times in the 9th to break open a one-run game and take the opener from Worcester, 5-1. Andrew Alvarez turned in five innings of one-run ball on six hits, two walks, and four whiffs to win his second AAA contest. Three relievers combined for four scoreless innings, led by Eduardo Salazar with five batters faced and five batters retired. Drew Millas singled twice and scored once while Dylan Crews singled, doubled, and drove in a run to lead the Red Wings offense.

The Senators left 12 runners on base, including both the tying and go-ahead runs in the 9th, as they dropped their fifth straight, 7-6.. Michael Cuevas didn’t make it to the 3rd inning as the Flying Squirrels chewed on him for five runs on three hits and two walks to hand him his ninth loss. Andrew Pinckney reached base four times with a double and a homer; J.T. Arruda singled, doubled, walked, and scored three runs; Daylen Lile singled twice and scored once. Harrisburg went 2-for-14 with RISP.

Wilmington scored five runs by the time Jarlin Susana was lifted from the game and the bullpen let in just one over the last four to ensure a win in his High-A debut. Susana “only” struck out five and walked two as he went five innings and let in two runs. Murphy Stehly and Joe Naranjo both singled twice while T.J. White extended his hit streak to ten games with a single in the 4th.

Travis Sykora no-hit the Mudcats for five innings and left with a 1-0 lead, but the FredNats ‘pen faltered in the 8th to lose 2-1, ending a nine-game win streak. Sykora walked two and struck out seven over his fifth straight start of five innings. The blown-save-loss went to Mason Denaburg, who retired one of five batters faced in the 8th and let in both Carolina runs. Like an ugly stripper, Fredericksburg came away with just four singles, none with RISP. Sammy Infante was the only batter to reach base twice (one hit, one walk) and scored the lone run.

The FCL Nationals scored in three of their first four “ups” to build a 6-0 lead and cruised to an 8-2 win over the FCL Mets. Brayan Romero tossed four scoreless innings, allowing three hits, one walk, and striking out five. The decision was given to Aldo Ramirez for his 1-2-3 fifth, which was his first win since 2019. Jorgelys Mota went 3-for-5 with a run scored while Andy Acevedo singled twice, scored once, and swiped his tenth base to lead the F-Nats attack.
