Trey Lipscomb and Carter Kieboom both hit solo HRs in a 3-1 Red Wings win over Buffalo. Thad Ward failed to go five full innings for the tenth time in 16 starts as he walked six over four and a 1/3rd innings, allowing three hits and striking out four. The win would go to Tim Cate, who gave up a single to the first batter he faced, then struck out the next two batters to strand all three runners. Alex Call singled twice, walked once, stole a base, jumped to the left, twisted to the right, and threw out a runner at home to lead the Rochester hit parade. Roster moves: C Riley Adams recalled to Washington; C Drew Millas optioned from Washington; C Jarrett Gonzales activated from the Development List.

Harrisburg came away with no runs for the 8th time this season as Altoona held the men coming to the plate holding bats to just two singles in 2-0 shutout. Chase Solesky took the loss, his third, as he gave up all three Curve runs on five hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three. Onix Vega broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 3rd while Andrew Pinckney got the second saftey with one out in the 7th. Pinckney was credited with an outfield assist after colliding with Terone Harris on a would-be flyout to the LCF gap, then tossing a relay throw to Jordy Barley who fired a bullet to Vega to get the runner at home.

The Blue Rocks outscored the BlueClaws in earned runs, 3-2. Unfortunately, they all count as Jersey Shore took advantage of four Wilmington errors to score six unearned runs and doubled ’em up, 8-4. José Atencio took his sixth loss since joining the Blue Rocks, allowing seven runs (one earned) on eight hit amd two walks over five and 2/3rds. Max Romero singled twice and doubled once while Viandel Peña reached base three times as well to lead the Blue Rocks offense, which left 11 runners on base.

Fredericksburg let Delmarva overcome a 2-0 deficit before tying the game at 3-3 then prevailing in the 10th, 4-3. Jarlin Susana tossed five scoreless innings with two hits and two walks allowed and eight whiffs, but came away with a no-decision for the fifth time in six starts. Austin Amaral’s return to Low-A was a dreadful three runs on four hits over three innings for the blown save. Bubba Hall finished the game with two scoreless to to get the win. Everett Cooper led the FredNats hit column with three singles and stole a base; Christhian Vaquero walked and homered; Sammy Infante delivered the game-winner with an infield single for Fredericksburg’s sixth straight win and sixth win in extra innings.

The F-Nats put up crooked numbers in both the 3rd and 4th innings to take a 4-2 lead and held on to edge the F-Astros, 4-3. Brayan Romero was lifted after allowing two runs on five hits over three and 2/3rds. Marcos Fortunato lived up to his surname, striking out the only batter he faced to vulture the win, his first of ’24. Enmanuel Ramirez singled twice, walked once, and drove in a run while Carlos Batista walked and drove in two in the 4th to pace the four-hit, eight-walk offense.
