• Cate (W, 6-1) 1⅓ IP, 0H, 0R, 1BB, 1K, 2-0 IR-S
• Millas 2-4, 3B, 2RBI, SB

A four-run 5th was the difference as the Red Wings extended their win streak to four with a 7-3 win over the Bisons. Jackson Rutledge muddled through four and a 1/3rd innings before Tim Cate got him out of a two-on, one-out jam. He would pick up his sixth win of season and second of the series as he retired four of five batters faced. Drew Millas singled, tripled, and drove in two while Trey Lipscomb walked, doubled, and plated one to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: 1B Juan Yepez added to 40-man, recalled to Washington.

Altoona 4 Harrisburg 3
• Theophile 5IP, 3H, 1R, 1ER, 4BB, 7K, HBP, WP

• House 2-4, R, 2B
• Harris 2-4

Altoona rallied for three in the 6th to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead. Harrisburg got one back in the 8th with the help of a two-out error but left on runners no. 7 and 8, then went in order in the 9th for a 4-3 loss, the Sens’ third straight. Rodney Theophile turned in five innings of one-run ball on three hits and four walks. He struck out seven and hit a batter. Todd Peterson got the blown-save-loss with the aforementioned three runs allowed on four hits in the 6th. Brady House singled, doubled, and scored a run; Terone Harris singled twice; Dérmis Garcia drove in two while reaching base twice. The rest of the lineup went 2-for-23 with eight strikeouts.

Wilmington 9 Jersey Shore 3

The Blue Rocks broke out for four in the 5th to erase a 3-1 deficit en route to tripling up the BlueClaws, 9-3. Seth Shuman went the first three and gave up all three Jersey Shore runs on four hits and three walks. Luke Farrell allowed two hits over two scoreless innings for the win. He struck out one. Jeremy De La Rosa drove in three with a two-run double and a sac fly while Kevin Made smacked a two-run double, scored twice, and walked. Every Wilmington batter had a hit. (Wait. What?)

Fredericksburg 7 Delmarva 4

The good news is Fredericksburg won its eighth straight game. The bad news is that they can’t play Delmarva every week. Travis Sthele shut out the Carolina League’s #11 offense on one hit and three walks for his third win. He struck out one. Samuel Vasquez pitched a 1-2-3 ninth and fanned two for his fifth save. Sammy Infante singled, doubled, walked, and scored two runs to lead the FredNats’ hit columm, followed by Christhian Vaquero, Armando Cruz, and Everett Cooper with two safeties apiece.

FCL Cardinals 2 FCL Nationals 0

Rehabber Dustin Saenz went the first two innings, putting up two goose eggs and allowing a hit and two walks while striking out four. The loss went to the dispaced starter Leodarlys Colon, who let in both F-Cards runs on two hits. He walked none and struck out six. • A. Feliz 2-5, R, RBI, 2K, CS

A four-run 5th put the DSL Nationals back into the win column as they clipped the DSL Blue Jays, 5-2. Alejandro Vera was lifted after three and a 1/3rd innings and two runs let in on a hit, four walks, and (presumably) four wild pitches. He struck out one. Jeffrey Familia stranded a runner while getting out of the 4th and retired six of nine batters, walking three and striking out three. David Hernandez singled, doubled, stole a base, and drove in one while Robert Santos reached base twice, scored twice, and stole two bases to lead the D-Nats attack.
