Dylan Crews and James Wood were reunited but the future outfield for the Nats would be an afterthought in a 12-2 Syracuse thrashing of Rochester. Andrew Alvarez didn’t make it out of the 2nd as he was thrashed for four runs on two hits and four walks to lose his second AAA game. He struck out one. Crews would go 0-for-5 in his AAA debut while Wood would walk in the 1st and ground out twice before he was lifted in the 6th. Juan Yepez singled three times while Riley Adams homered and scored twice to lead the Red Wings offense. Roster moves: OF Dylan Crews promoted from Harrisburg; OF James Wood activated from 7-Day I.L.; C Jarrett Gonzales, IF Ericks Mejia placed on the Development List.

Daylen Lile singled, scored twice, walked twice, and struck out twice in his AA debut. Rodney Theophile tied his career high in strikeouts with 10 but gave up an Earl Weaver special with two out in the 6th to lose his quality start. He finished with four runs on four hits and two walks over six innings. Kevin Made singled twice, doubled once, scored twice, drove in two, and walked once while Max Romero took offense to Will’s comments and racked up six total bases with a double and a homer and two RBI.
