The Indians returned the favor from Friday night, defenestrating the Red Wings, 13-4. Jackson Rutledge reverted to the mean with seven runs allowed on seven hits and three walks over three innings to lose for the fifth time. Riley Adams doubled twice, Travis Blankenhorn hit his 15th two-bagger, and Darren Baker reached base twice on a walk and a single while stealing his 26th base to pace the Rochester counterattack.

Erie took its fourth straight from Harrisburg, 7-2 to assure a series win and the first tiebreaker in the second-half playoff race. Andry Lara lost for the second time at AA with five runs charged on eight hits and two walks over five innings. Veterans C.J. Stubbs (27) and Paul Witt (26) both homered and were the only two Senators not to strike out on a breezy night (14 whiffs) while J.T. Arruda singled three times to lead the hit column of seven.

Wilmington scored with the help of two errors in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 3-3, but gave it right back in the bottom of the frame for a 4-3 loss to Hudson Valley. Seth Shuman was knocked from the box in the 4th after giving up his only hit, albeit a solo HR. Jaren Zinn dug the hole deeper with a walk and a two-run HR before getting out of the inning. T.J. White homered with one aboard to get back two of those runs while Phillip Glasser reached base four times on two singles and two walks to lead the ten-hit parade, of which two (2) came in 13 RISP chances.

Elijah Green, Brandon Pimentel, and Roismar Quintana hit back-to-back-to-back HRs in a three-run 5th that keyed a 6-4 win for Fredericksburg. Travis Sthele made his first non-Sunday start of ’24 and won. Coincidence? Probably. He allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out two over five innings. Samuel Vasquez put the tying runs on base but kept them from scoring for his fourth save. Green homered again in the 7th and walked to lead the FredNats attack.

The F-Nats were gifted three unearned runs on an error and two wild pitches in the 8th to make this look closer than it was in a 7-6 loss to the F-Cards. Leodarlyn Colon took the loss with four runs let in on three hits (one HR) and three walks. He struck out two. 23-y.o. Nate Rombach singled twice and scored twice as the DH while catcher Helder Rosario, 19, walked, singled, and drove in two.

A 7-2 lead was too small for the DSL Nationals ‘pen to hold, as they gave up three runs in the 7th and six in the 8th to lose, 11-7. Darrel Lunar got the blown-save-loss with aforementioned six runs on six hits and a walk over an inning and 2/3rds. Angel Feliz reached base three times with a double, walk, and a single while Eddy Marmolejos and Hector Liriano both went 2-for-5 with a double.
