After losing a 2-0 lead in the early going, the Red Wings rallied for two in the 6th to take a 4-3 lead and then put the game away with three in the 7th for a 7-3 win, their third straight. Spenser Watkins gave up all three Scranton/Wilkes-Barre runs on five hits and two walks to notch his third quality start amd fourth win. Carter Kieboom walked twice, doubled twice, and drove in two while Alex Call walked once and singled twice to help the Rochester offense score seven times on eight hits and eight walks. The Harrisburg ‘pen locked it down after Bowie went up 4-0 halfway, enabling the offense to tie it to force extras, and win again in the 10th. Andry Lara gave up all four BaySox runs on seven hits and three walks for the no-decision. Four relievers combined for five scoreless innings of relief, with Jack Sinclair working out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the 9th and a walk in the 10th. He would get the “W” when Jordy Barley bunted one over the pitcher that died on the infield grass for a hit and plated the game-winner. Barley went 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored and stole a base while Dylan Crews also reached three times, with a walk, single, and a double.

The Blue Rocks took advantage of errors, walks, and hit batsmen to score 11 runs on just seven hits as they took the opener, 11-6. Bryan Cáceres didn’t make it out of the 3rd as the BlueClaws punched him for five runs on eight hits and three walks over two and 2/3rds. The win went to Richard Guasch, who retired all four batters he faced. Phillip Glasser extended his hit streak to seven with a single and drew two walks while Jeremy De La Rosa drove in three with a triple and Viandel Peña plated two with a single to lead the Wilmington offense.

Unlike Harrisburg or Rochester, the Wilmington bullpen collapsed in the nightcap, with Wander Arias retiring just one of six batters faced in the 6th to turn a 4-2 lead into a 6-4 deficit. The Blue Rocks got one back in the 7th and had the tying run in scoring position before Kevin Made struck out to end the game. José Atencio’s five innings of two-run ball became a no-decision with the meltdown. He walked four and struck out two. Johnathan Thomas singled, doubled, and scored twice while Daylen Lile drove in three, twice on sacrifice flies.

Fredericksburg scored four times in the 9th with two out to turn a 4-2 deficit into a 6-4 win. The rally made a winner out of Mason Denaburg who had been on the hook for the loss with two runs allowed in the 8th, with an assist from Samuel Vasquez who cordero’d around a walk and a single in the 9th for the save. Brandon Pimentel and Roismar Quintana both went 3-for-5 and combined for five RBI to power the FredNats offense.

Astin Amaral “worked on some things” for the first inning, allowing one run on three hits, no walks. He struck out one while taking the loss. Winder Diaz and Emmanuel Ramirez both singled and walked twice to lead the FCL Nationals offense.

He struck out five and hit a batter while earning his first win. Winder Diaz singled twice; Carlos Batista homered and drove in two; Luis Arias cleared the bases to cap off the aforementioned 5th with a three-run double to power the F-Nats attack.

DSL Nationals went to town on the DSL White Sox ‘pen, scoring 11 runs from the 5th to the 7th, while the D-Nats pitchers combined to shut out the D-White Sox, 11-0 on three hits. Jhoan Thomas walked seven of 15 batters faced but struck out three over three no-hit innings. The win went to Jose Sanchez, who was the pitcher of record when the DSL Nationals broke the 0-0 tie. Dashyll Tejeda led the D-Nats’ 15-hit parade with a single, double, and a triple, while Eddy Marmolejos, Feldi Tavarez, and Diego Hernandez each had two safeties.
