Joan Adon didn’t make it out of the first, savaged for four runs on five hits (one HR) and two walks while retiring two of of nine batters to become the third Red Wings starter with an ERA more than 6.00. Travis Blankenhorn broke up the shutout bid with a two-run HR, plating Darren Baker; both went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

The Senators were shut out, 4-0 on two hits to extend their slide to three games. Kyle Luckham fell one out short of the bullpen-saving complete game with all seven runs charged on ten hits and two walks as he lost his fourth game. Dylan Crews broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 4th while Cody Wilson got onto the interstate (.107) with his eighth hit of the season.

In the nightcap, Harrisburg jumped out to a 3-0 after the 1st, extended it to 5-1 on a two-run HR by Dérmis Garcia, and held on for 5-3 win to split the twinbill. Samuel Reyes was the first pitcher but was lifted after retiring five of nine with one hit and three walks allowed. Jack Sinclair was credited with the win for two goose eggs in the middle innings. Brady House, Jordy Barley, and Paul Witt each had a double while Ed Pinckney rounded out the hit column with a single.

The Blue Rocks notched their sixth shutout on offense, collecting a single hit in a 4-0 loss to the Renegades. Bryan Cáceres turned in five innings of two-run ball and lost for the fifth time this season. He walked three and struck out four. Matt Suggs had the lone hit while Elijah Nunez drew two of the four Wilmington walks.

Wilmington rallied for three in the 2nd and added another run in the 3rd and held on to double up Hudson Valley, 4-2. Miguel Gomez went the first three innings, allowing three hits, no walks, and striking out four. Jaren Zinn gave up a run over the next two to get the rulebook win. T.J. Jared McKenzie’s Earl Weaver special put the FredNats up by four and the ‘pen only gave up three in a 6-2 win that stopped a six-game losing streak. Marc Davis went a season-high four and 2/3rds innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He walked two, hit a batter, and struck out six. The win went to Moises Diaz, who stranded two while getting out of the 5th and put up two goose eggs in the 6th and 7th. Every Fredericksburg batter had a hit, led by McKenzie with a homer and a single, Everett Cooper with a single and a double and an RBI, and Jose Colmenares with two safeties.

The FCL Cardinals shut out the FCL Nationals on four hits. Three of those were collected by Nick “Power to the” Peoples, the other by Carlos Tavares. Luke Farrell started and threw two scoreless innings. The loss went to Richard Guasch, was coughed up two runs on a home run and three hits total. Alejandro Vera didn’t make it out of the second, giving up all three DSL Cardinals runs on two hits and four walks over an inning and 2/3rds. Jhoan Thomas got the last out of the 2nd and tossed three scoreles to get the win. He allowed two baserunners—a triple and a hit batsman—and struck out five.
