The two teams combined for five errors and three errors, with Rochester slipping past Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 2-1 despite striking out 16 times (10 by some Gerrit Cole guy). Joan Adon gave up less than two runs for the third time in 12 starts, allowing one run on a homer and four hits total over five innings. He walked four and struck out six. Four relievers combined for four scoreless innings, with Orlando Ribalta getting the “W,” thanks to some small ball. Jackson Cluff led off with a walk, stole second, took third on a Brady Lindsly sacrifice, and scored on a sac fly by Erick Mejia. Roster moves: Released RH T.J. Zeuch.

The Senators pitchers outdueled the BaySox pitchers in a 2-1 win over 10 innings. Josiah Gray gave up the Bowie run on a solo HR and four hits total over four innings. He did not issue a walk and struck out two. Harrisburg evened things up in the 4th on a pair of singles by Dérmis Garcia and C.J. Stubbs and Cody Wilson beating out would-be double play ball. Newcomer Chase Solesky opened a donut shop on the City Isle scoreboard for five frames as the first man out of the ‘pen. Andrew Pinckney singled in the 6th and stole second, which was the last threat in regulation. After Samuel Reyes worked around a one-out walk in the top half of the 10th, J.T. Arruda ended it with a double to plate the free runner to win the game for Harrisburg and Reyes. Roster moves: RHP Josiah Gray MLB rehab transferred from Fredericksburg.

Rain claimed Game Four of the Wilmington-Jersey Shore series. They’ll make it up with a twi-night doubleheader tonight.

The FredNats were solid in nearly every phase of the game as they won back-to-back games for the first time in nearly a month with a 5-2 triumph over the Mudcats. Jarlin Susana went five full innings for the third straight outing and was rewarded with his first win. The 20-y.o. allowed both Carolina runs on three hits and three walks while setting down seven on strikes. Elijah Green struck out three times but also plated three with a bases-clearing double to highlight Fredericksburg’s four-run 2nd. Marcus Brown, Jared McKenzie, and Roismar Quintana each had mutliple hits while John McHenry drew three walks to pace the eight-hit, four-walk offense.

Today will be just the third day the FCL Nationals will play this week as they make up one of the two rainouts with a doubleheader this morning.

The D-Nats crept to within a run after falling behind 7-3 with one in the 7th and two in the 8th. Alas, a three-run 9th put the game away as the DSL Rangers Reds downed the DSL Nationals, 10-6. Alejandro Vera didn’t make it out of the 4th, allowing four runs on four hits and six walks without a whiff over three and a 1/3rd innings to lose his first pro ballgame. Victor Hurtado connected for his first career double and his first multihit game while Eddy Marmolejos reached base three times on a two-run single and a pair of walks to lead the DSL Nationals offense.
