Rochester scored five times in seven “ups,” including three in the 7th as they winged Buffalo, 8-2 in the opener. DJ Herz got the start but walked five of 17 batters faced, allowing two runs on two hits over three and 2/3rds innings. The win went to Adonis Medina, who stranded two in the 4th and pitched a scoreless 5th. Jack Dunn doubled twice, scored twice, and walked once while Juan Yepez and Travis Blankenhorn both went 2-for-2 with a walk and run scored. All three stole a base, as did Darren Baker twice and James Wood thrice for a total of eight to go with 12 hits and eight walks.

Alex Call homered twice, including a two-run shot in the 9th that proved to be the difference as the Red Wings swept the doubleheader with a 6-5 win in the nightcap. Spenser Watkins made his second spot start, pitching into the 5th with one run let in on three hits and two walks. The win went to Rico Garcia with two scoreless innings while Tim Cate let in the free runner in the 9th but preserved the lead for the save. Call also hit a sac fly to drive in four runs total while Jack Dunn reached base three times on a walk, single, and another double to lead the Rochester offense. Roster moves: RHP T.J. Zeuch reassigned from XST; C Jarrett Gonzalez placed on Developmental List.

Andrew Alvarez started and lost, allowing three runs (two earned ) on five hits and two walks while striking out two. Onix Vega broke up the no-hit bid in the 5th while Jordy Barley ended the shutout with an RBI groundout. The Senators were held to just three hits total, with Robert Hassell and J.T. Arruda rounding out the three-single barrage.

YoYo Morales pinwheeled a three-run shot in the 3rd to erase an early 1-0 deficit and drove in four total as the Senators stopped a three-game slide with a 7-3 win and split the doubleheader. Cole Henry needed 49 pitches to get nine outs, with four walks, no hits, and one whiff. Tyler Schoff closed out the game with two scoreless innings to earn the win. Morales, Robert Hassell, and Brady House combined for six hits, six RBI, and five runs scored to account for most of the Harrisburg offense. Wilmington scored single runs in the 8th and 9th innings to take the lead and get the insurance run for a 6-4 win over Abdereen. Luke Young gave up all four IronBirds runs on five hits (one HR) and two walks while striking out two. Marquis Grissom picked up the win while putting on three baserunners while Todd Peterson stranded one in the 8th and cordero’d around two singles in the 9th to get the save. The Blue Rocks drew eight walks and collected seven hits, with Daylen Lile connecting for the sole extra-base hit (triple) and scoring twice. Susana gave up six hits total over three innings, issuing a walk and a Robles while striking out three. Brandon Pimentel account for both Fredericksburg runs with a two-run shot in the 6th, which was the fourth and final hit of the night for Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg finally got some good relief pitchng, shutting down Lynchburg over the final four and 1/3rd innings in a 4-1 win that split the twinbill. Marc Davis struck out six of 13 batters faced but needed 53 pitches to get eight outs. Anthony Arguelles stranded two while getting out of the 3rd and pitched a scoreless 4th to get the “W.” Everett Cooper singled twice and scored twice as did Phillip Glasser who also drove in two to lead the FredNats attack.
