The Red Wings and RailRiders “battled” to a 0-0 tie after regulation, where Scranton/Wilkes-Barre got four against a reliever and Rochester got one against a position player to lose, 4-1. Cory “Don’t Call Me Roger” Abbott struck out eight and allowed two hits and two walks over four innings. The loss went to Daniel Mengden with four runs let in on three hits and two walks in the 10th. Former Nats prospect Wilmer Difo made his fifth appearance and let in the free runner on a sac fly to Luis García to lose the shutout but preserve the win as the seventh man to appear on the the mound for the RailRiders. Blake Rutherford led the Red Wings assault with two singles, followed by García with a single and a walk. Roster moves: SS Jordy Barley activated from Developmental List; LHP Joe LaSorsa recalled to Washington.

Brady House led off the 8th with a triple to break up the no-hitter and perhaps even tie the game at 1-1. But Harrisburg couldn’t get the ball out of the infield with House called out above (pictured above) on the second of two groundouts as the Senators lost again, 1-0 to the Rumble Ponies. Mitchell Parker took the loss on an unearned run let in on two hits and four walks. He struck out five. Robert Hassell ended the perfect game with a one-out walk in the 4th and was the first of two runners left on as Terone Harris reached on the play at the plate.

The Blue Rocks snapped a 4-4 tie with three runs in the 6th and held on to beat the Renegades, 7-5. Bryan Cáceres had his usual run-per-inning outing, with three of each with seven hits and one walk allowed. The Marlon Perez picked up the win with one run on four hits over three innings with no walks and three whiffs. Todd Peterson got the rulebook save with a run on a home run in the 9th with no walks and no strikeouts. Yohandy Morales singled, doubled, scored twice, and drove in two while Daylen Lile reached base three times with a walk and two singles to lead the Wilmington offense.

Fredericksburg couldn’t outhit its poor pitching (still dead last in the C.L.) this time as its three-game win streak was halted, 6-4. Liam Sullivan got the start but hit his pitch count with two outs in the 4th with two runs let in on two hits (one HR) and four walks. He struck out six. Pedro González took the loss as he allowed two runs on six (6) hits over an inning and a 1/3rd while walking one and fanning one. Marcus Brown and Elijah Green both singled, doubled, and drove in a run to lead the FredNats attack.
