Rochester was no-hit for four and 2/3rds and fell behind 4-0 before rallying for three to get within one. Alas, the (ugh) Woo Sox answered with two in the 9th to double up the Red Wings, 6-3. Jackson Rutledge lost for the third time in his last four starts, giving up four runs on five hits (one HR) and four walks while tying his season-high in whiffs with seven. Richie Martin singled twice and drove in a run while Cody Wilson drove in two while matching Martin’s 2-for-4 tally as Rochester finished with eight singles and six walks on offense. Roster moves: UT Jeter Downs optioned from Washington; OF Jacob Young added to 40-man, recalled to Washington.

The Senators went deep twice in the 1st for four runs and extended their lead to 7-1 with three more in the 3rd. The Fightins came off the ropes with three in 4th and two in the 8th and got the tying run as far as third base in the 9th before losing on a 7-6 decision. Michael Cuevas muddled through five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks. He got the Jack Morris win while striking out four. James Wood homered, doubled, and singled and drove in two while Terone Harris homered, singled, and drove in three to lead the Harrisburg offense.

Wilmington erased deficits of 1-0 and 3-2 to force a 10th inning, where Cortland Lawson’s second RBI single sent in the game-winner to extend the Blue Rocks’ win streak to three (3) with a 4-3 win. Brad Lord scattered seven hits and allowed an unearned run in five innings. He would get the no-decision when Holden Powell blew his third save with a two-run double to the first batter he faced in the 7th. Orlando Ribalta picked up the win with two scoreless innings in the 9th and 10th innings. Lawson, Murphy Stehly, and Andrew Pinckeny each went 2-for-5 to account for six of the nine hits Wilmington racked up on the night.

Mikey Tepper lost his first professional game with two runs allowed on two hits and a walk over three innings. Johnathan Thomas singled and stole a base while Cristhian Vaquero walked and singled. The rest of the lineup went 0-for-20 with four walks and six whiffs.
