OFF DAY
DSL Nationals Won, 6-5 OFF DAY

Long ride with a tight deadline so it’s abbreviated writeups this morning. Went to the game in Phlly last night and saw both Bryce Harper and Trea Turner homer. Why can’t we get players like that? Oh, wait…

Rochester 6 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 4
• Peralta 5IP, 5H, 3R, 3ER, 2BB, 4K, HR, 2WP
• Harris (W, 2-2) 1⅓ IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 2K
• G. Moreno (SV, 8) 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• García 3-5, 2R, 2B
• Witt 2-3, BB, 2B
• Millas 2-4, R, BB, 2SB, PO @ 2B

Rochester rallied for three in the 6th to tie, three in the 7th to go ahead, and held on for 6-4 win. Roster moves: UT Paul Witt reassigned from Fredericksburg; RHP Joan Adon recalled to Washington; OF Derek Hill placed on the 7-Day I.L.

Erie 8 Harrisburg 0
• Herz (L, 0-1) 2⅓ IP, 3H, 5R, 4ER, 2BB, 4K, HR, WP
• Knowles 3IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 1K
• Harris 1-3
• Arruda 1-3

The Senators were shut out for the ninth time this season, mustering just four singles in an 8-0 loss to Erie.

Wilmington 2 Hudson Valley 1 (10 inn.)
• A. Lara 4IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 4K, HBP
• Da. Díaz (W, 1-4) 1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 0K
• Boisserie 1-1, RBI
• Infante 0-2, BB, RBI

Branden Boisserie’s RBI single in his first at-bat coming off the bench as a defensive replacement was the game-winner as Wilmington edged Hudson Valley, 2-1 in 10 innings.

Salem 11 Fredericksburg 7 (10 inn.)
• Susana 4IP, 5H, 5R, 5ER, 2BB, 2K, HR, 2HBP

• Thomas 3-4, R, SB(40)]
• Pinckney 2-5, R, E
• Cruz 1-4, R, HR(GS), 4RBI

The FredNats rallied from 7-0 down to tie it and had the winning run cut down at the plate to end the 9th. In the 10th, Salem blasted a grand slam after taking two walks to win, 11-7. Roster moves: OF Dylan Crews reassigned from the FCL.

FCL Astros 7 FCL Nationals 1 – COMP.

• Fortunato 3IP, 3H, 3R, 3ER, 4BB, 1K, HR
• Ribalta 1IP, 1H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• Ju. Garcia 2-3
• E. Santana 1-3, RBI

The FCL Astros picked up where they left off on Tuesday and teed off some more on the FCL Nationals moundsmen for a 7-1 win.

FCL Astros 3 FCL Nationals 2 – GM. 2
• Sullivan 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 1K
• N. Gomez (BS, 1; L, 3-1) 1IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 0BB, 2K
• Cox 2-3, R
• Vaquero 1-3, R

The good news is that the F-Nats batted a 1.000 with RISP. The bad news is that was 1-for-1… and it wasn’t a home run as the F-Astros rallied in the late innings for a 3-2 win to sweep the de facto doubleheader. Roster moves: RHP Orlando Ribalta assigned from Harrisburg for MiLB rehab.

DSL Nationals 6 DSL Twins 5
