The Red Wings barely avoided a shutout as they were trampled by the Bisons, 7-1. Alemao Hernandez took the brunt of it, allowing six runs on nine hits (one HR) and two walks over three innings. He struck out two while losing his first AAA game. Joel Peguero and Daniel Mengden both turned in two goose eggs while Luis Cessa lowered his ERA to 10.47 with a run in the 8th. Luis García broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 3rd then ended the shutout with a double play ball after Rochester loaded the bases on a hit by pitch (Richie Martin) and back-to-back singles by Cody Wilson and Darren Baker. The Red Wings went in order in the 6th, 7th, and 8th before Drew Millas drew his second walk in the 9th. Roster moves: IF Jordy Barley placed on the Development List.

It was the battle of which bullpen would be worse as Harrisburg “won” with a five-run 9th to lose on a walkoff to Richmond, 7-6. Rain shortened Dustin Saenz’s outing to two scoreless innings, with two hits and two whiffs. Nash Walters retired just two of nine batters faced as he gave up five runs on four hits, three walks (one intentional), and three wild pitches to take the loss. Trey Lipscomb led the Senators hit column with a single and a double, scoring twice and driving in two while Terone Harris and Jacob Young both walked, doubled, and scored a run.

The Blue Rocks ‘pen tried to keep pace with the Senators but instead held on for a 7-6 win over the IronBirds. Bryan Cáceres was strafed for five runs on four hits (one HR) and a walk over two and 2/3rds. Wilmington batted around in the 3rd and sent in six runs, highlighted by a two-run HR by Will Frizzell, who drove in three total on the night and walked twice. Marlon Perez let in two while getting out of the 3rd but put up two scoreless innings to get the “W.” Jeremy De La Rosa walked, doubled, singled, stole a base, scored twice, and drove in a run while Yasel Antuna got off the interstate with two hits and walk to improve his BA to .209.

The Fredericksburg draft picks offense covered for the early stumbles by the bullpen as they put up a four-spot in the 3rd en route to a 4-3 win in Game Three. Travis Sthele hit his pitch count with one out in the 3rd with one run given up on three hits. He walked none and struck out three. Pedro González hit the first batter he faced then gave up back-to-back singles before setting down and in. He would finish with two runs let in on four hits and a walk while striking out one. That would be good enough for the win as the FredNats sent nine men up and four men in the bottom of the 3rd, highlighted by a two-run single by Marcus Brown, an RBI single by Yohandy Morales, and a Homer Simpson RBI by Andrew Pinckney.

Henry Moreno lost for the fifth time as he gave up the first two runs in the first (and his only) inning, allowing two hits, two walks, and two wild pitches. Carlos Batista, Carlos Tavares, and Hector Liriano each had a single while Helder Rosario and Manuel Cabrera drew walks to comprise the D-Nats offense.
