Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 6 Rochester 5
• Troop 3IP, 7H, 5R, 4ER, 3BB, 2K, HR
• Reyes 3IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 4K, WP
• Cessa (L, 0-3) 2IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 1K
• Adams 3-4
• Mejia 1-3, R, BB, HR, RBI, E
• Blankenhorn 1-4, R, HR, RBI

Rochester dug itself out of a 5-0 hole with a pair of solo HRs and a three-run 7th, but the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre answered with one in its half of the 7th to win, 6-5. Alex Troop’s second AAA appearance wasn’t much better than his first as the 27-y.o. was lit up for five runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings. The first Luis out of the ‘pen tossed three scoreless, but the second Luis (Cessa) gave up the gamewinner on a pair of doubles while finishing the game. Matt Adams singled three times while Erick Mejia and Travis Blankenhorn hit the aforementioned homers. Roster moves: UT Jeter Downs recalled to Washington; OF Cody Wilson reassigned from Wilmington; C Drew Millas activated from 3-day T.I.L.; C Steven Williams returned to Development List; RHP José Ureña released.

Erie 12 Harrisburg 4
• Parker 4IP, 8H, 3R, 2ER, 1BB, 2K, WP
• Alston (L, 2-4) ⅓ IP, 2H, 2R, 2ER, 0BB, 0K, HR, HBP
• Lipscomb 3-4, R, RBI
• Wood 1-4, R, HR(10), 2RBI

The SeaWolves scored in each of their last five “ups” to turn a 4-1 deficit into a 12-4 impeachment of the Senators. Mitchell Parker went the first four and was strafed for eight hits but only gave up three runs (two earned) while walking one and striking out two. Garvin Alston took the loss as he retired just one of four batters faced, giving up a two-run HR after hitting the first batter he faced. Trey Lipscomb led the Harrisburg hit column with three singles while James Wood hit his 10th homer at AA (18th overall). Roster moves: C Israel Pineda reassigned from Wilmington.

Hudson Valley 6 Wilmington 2
• Luckham (L, 3-4) 5IP, 5H, 4R, 4ER, 3BB, 4K, 2HR
• Powell 1IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 3K
• Lawson 2-2, R, BB
• Stehly 2-4

Hudson Valley broke open a 1-0 game with a three-run HR in the top of the 5th and cruised to a 6-2 win over Wilmington. Kyle Luckham lost for the fourth time as he gave up the Earl Weaver Special and four runs total on five hits over five innings. He walked three and struck out four. The law firm of Cortland, Lawson, Murphy, and Stehly combined for four of the six Blue Rocks hits while Carter Kieboom homered and Branden Boisserie singled.

Salem vs. Fredericksburg – PPD
The Red Sox and FredNats were rained out. They’ll make this one up tonight with a doubleheader at 5:05 p.m.

FCL Cardinals 8 FCL Nationals 4
• C. Sanchez (L, 0-2) ⅔ IP, 4H, 5R, 3ER, 0BB, 1K
• Carmona 1IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 2K
• Crews 3-3, 3R, 2B
• Ochoa Leyva 3-4, 2RBI

Batting practice came in the 1st inning as the FCL Cardinals teed off on Camilo Sanchez for four hits in the space of seven batters before he got the hook. He would be the losing pitcher in an 8-4 F-Nats loss to the F-Cards… not that any of you care beyond seeing that Dylan Crews singled twice, doubled twice, and scored thrice in his (paid) pro debut. He’s expected to make his first start in Fredericksburg on tomorrow night. Roster moves: Assigned from Washington – OF Dylan Crews (1st. Rd. pick, ’23); HPs Travis Sykora (3rd), Thomas Schultz (9th), Travis Sthele (12th), RHP Mikey Tepper (15th), Merrick Baldo (17th), Matthew Bollenbacher (NDFA), and Liam Sullivan (NDFA).

DSL Colorado 3 DSL Nationals 2 – SUSP.
• H. Moreno 3⅓ IP, 3H, 0R, 3BB, 4K
• Oliveros 1IP, 3H, 3R, 2ER, 0BB, 1K, WP
• E. Soto 2-3, 2B
• Tejeda 1-2, BB

DSL Colorado took the lead in the top of the 6th, thus the DSL Nationals were denied their last “ups” by the rains/t-storms/locusts/rapture. Best guess as to when they’ll finish this is August 9th, when both teams have an off day.
