Rochester 4 Durham 3
• Ureña (W, 1-2) 5IP, 4H, 1R, 1ER, 3BB, 4K, HR, WP, PTV
• G. Moreno (H, 7) 2IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 4K, 2-1 IR-S

• Millas 1-3, BB, RBI

Rochester built an early 4-0 lead with some timely hitting (two sacrifice flies) and got just enough pitching to hold on for 4-3 win. José Ureña pitched into the 5th for the 11th time and gave up fewer than two runs for the first time on a solo HR and four hits total. He walked three and struck out four. Gerson Moreno let in one of two inherited runners but held the lead for Luis Cessa, who turned in his first clean outing with a 1-2-3 ninth and got the save. Derek Hill extended his hit streak to eight games with two singles and drove in the deciding run with a sac fly in the 4th while Jeter Downs and Blake Rutherford both had a double and Drew Millas and Jake Alu each had a single.

• House 2-5, R

The Senators delivered big hits in the clutch early (no, really) to build a 5-2 lead after two and cruised to 10-3 win over the BaySox. Cole Henry continued to “work on some stuff,” with two mistakes leaving the yard as the 24-y.o. labored through an inning and 2/3rds before he was lifted after 43 pitches. The win went to Lucas Knowles, who stranded one runner and let in one run on two hits and two walks over two and 2/3rds inning. Trey Lipscomb was the beer man in a 13-hit parade, led by Jackson Cluff with two singles and a three-run HR in the 2nd, followed by Frankie Tostadao with a single and two-run triple in the 1st.

Wilmington 3 Greensboro 2
• Alvarez (W, 3-2) 6IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 6K, PO @ 1B

• Lile 4-4, R, 3B, 2RBI, SB
• V. Peña 1-3, SF, RBI

Wilmington got three runs early and survived a late surge to squeak by Greensboro, 3-2. Andrew Alvarez notched his third quality start but this time he got the win, tossing six shutout innings with three hits and a one walk allowed while striking out six. Marlon Perez worked around doubles in the 7th and 8th to keep the shutout going. In the 9th, Holden Powell cordero’d around a one-out error, giving up two unearned runs on two hits and a walk before ending it with a strikeout with the tying run on third. Daylen Lile went 4-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a stolen base while Viandel Peña drove in the third run with a sac fly to lead the Blue Rocks offense.

Augusta 5 Fredericksburg 3
• Cornelio (L, 2-6) 3⅔ IP, 5H, 5R, 2ER, 3BB, 2K
• P. González ⅓ IP, 0H, 0R, 0BB, 1K, 1-0 IR-S
• Thomas 1-3, R, RBI, SB(30)
• Lawson 0-1, R, E(15)

The FredNats got lucky with two runs scoring on a pair of balks in the 3rd to take a 3-0 lead. Their luck ran out when the GreenJackets scored five in the 4th, including three on an infield hit followed by an errant throw by Cortland Lawson. The rains came to end the game after the bare minimum of 4½ innings. Riley Cornelio lost for the sixth time with all five runs allowed on five hits and three walks over three and 2/3rds innings. Johnathan Thomas beat out a suicide squeeze for an RBI single and stole his organization-leading 30th base to lead the Fredericksburg offense.
