James Wood’s second RBI single was the difference as the Senators edged the Fisher Cats, 4-3 in 11 innings. New Hampshire battled back from a 3-1 deficit after five full with single runs in the 6th and 9th innings to force extras. Jackson Rutledge got the no-decision despite another solid start of one run let in on three hits and two walks over five innings. The 24-y.o. struck out four. Malvin Peña picked up the win with a scoreless inning in the 11th. Jack Dunn singled, doubled, walked, and stole a base to lead Harrisburg’s eight-hit, two-walk offense. No woulda/coulda/shoulda like the first four games of this series as Greensboro shut out Wilmington, 6-0 on seven hits to send the Blue Rocks to their fifth straight loss. Andry Lara gave up the first four Grasshopper runs on a pair of two-run homers and six hits total over five innings. He walked two and struck out four. Jacob Young and José Sánchez both singled twice in four trips to the plate while the rest of the lineup went 3-for-25 with a double (Matt Suggs) and two walks (Viandel Peña and Jordy Barley). Carlos Batista singled, doubled, stole a base, and scored two runs while Carlos Tavares singled, walked, and drove in a run to lead the D-Nats’ five-hit assault.
