The Red Wings rallied to tie at 4-4 in the 4th and then were shut out the rest of the way as Storm Chasers doubled ’em , 8-4. José Ureña was lifted after two scoreless innings as Rochester did another bullpen game with five relievers trotted out over the last seven frames. Odalvi Javier took the loss after hitting a batter to start the 6th and Jose Ferrer unable to prevent the runner from scoring. Nomar Mazara led the Red Wings hit column with a single and a double while Franmil Reyes hit his fourth homer to get Rochester on the board with a two-spot in the 1st.

A seven-run 5th by the Senators broke open a 3-2 game as Harrisburg gave Richmond an 11-3 beatdown. Jackson Rutledge won his sixth game with his sixth quality start as he pitched… wait for it… six innings, allowing two runs on two hits and four walks. He struck out six. Frankie Tostado and Trey Lipscomb both went 3-for-6 with a double and a run scored to lead the Senators 12-hit, 10-walk offense. Roster moves: LHP Mitchell Parker placed on the Development List; C Brady Lindsly activated from the 7-Day I.L.

Will Frizzell’s two-out, two-run double in the 5th gave the Blue Rocks a 4-1 lead but the Wilmington ‘pen wasn’t able to hold it and Aberdeen won in extras, 6-5. Andry Lara bounced back from his worst outing to pitch five innings of one-run ball on four hits and a walk while striking out three. Chance Huff gavde up two in the 6th and one in the 8th to lose the lead and “earn” his first blown save. Dannel Diaz took the loss as he let in both the free runner and one of his own in the 10th for his fourth loss. House drove in three while going 2-for-5 while T.J. White extended his hit streak to six games with a single. Roster moves: UT Jeter Downs reassigned from the FCL for MiLB rehab.

In the completion, Fredericksburg rallied for two in the 5th and three in the 6th and cruised to a 5-1 win. Luke Young let finished the 2nd, allowing an inherited runner to score, then tossed three scoreless to pick up his first pro win. Matt Merrill (2IP) and Holden Powell (1IP) put up three goose eggs to finish the game. Sammy Infante singled, doubled, and walked twice while Armando Cruz and Daylen Lile both drove in two run, including a Homer Simpson RBI for the FredNats shortstop.

Jarlin Susana turned a career-high of four and 2/3rds innings in a 3-2 extra-innings FredNats loss to the Fireflies in the nightcap. The 19-y.o. struggled with his control, walking just two, but needed 82 pitches to get 14 outs. He alowed two unearned runs on two hits, struck out six, hit a batter, threw two wild pitches, and balked. The loss went to Kevin Rodriguez on a one-out single that plated the free runner in the 8th. Daylen Lile led off the game with a homer and singled in the second and final run to lead the Fredericksburg offense, which went 2-for-11 with RISP and left on nine.

The FCL Nationals scored in every until the 8th as the defenestrated the FCL Mets, 15-7. Erik Tolman made another audition to stick around past the draft with three scoreless innings, allowing one hit, no walks, and striking out two. Jose Ulloa was the least ineffective reliever to get awarded the “W” with two runs let in on three hits and a walk while striking out zero. Blake Klassen reached base five tines with two singles, two walks, and his seventh double in 13 games while Nathan Ochoa Leyva got on base four times with three safeties and a base-on-balls to lead the F-Nats 15-hit parade. Roster moves: IF Lucius Fox assigned from Rochester for MiLB rehab.
